Tl-the contact owns a 2003 Infiniti G35. The contact stated that while driving at 20 mph, the contact noticed a loud noise coming from the front of the engine as the vehicle lost power. The check engine and engine oil warning lights illuminated. In addition, the contact stated that the brake pedal was depressed but the vehicle failed to stop. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the cam position sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure recurred on numerous occasions. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown but the current mileage was 181,268. Oo.
