general problems of the 2004 Infiniti G35

Driver's side door lock actuator failure. It appears many problems have been reported with these door lock acuators on Infiniti owner websites and forums and the manufacturer (Nissan) has failed to initiate a campaign on this product. The replacement cost for the actuator is $149-$220 with 2 hours labor at rate of $120 per hour.

The drivers seat on 2004 Infiniti G35 rocks. Local dealer gives me the run around and wants me to pay $1200 for a new seat even though this is a well known/documented defect and should have been covered by warranty. The driver side door lock actuator stopped working completely. One month later the passenger side door lock actuator stopped working. One week ago the driver side window regulator also stopped working. These issues are known defects to Nissan/Infiniti, yet they do not care to address these safety issues.

The hood on my 2004 Infiniti G35x failed at the hinges. The hood is now elevated above the line of the windshield and will not close. The failure was not due to an accident. The hood was merely opened, and the hinges failed. I am concerned hat the hood will open or fly off at highway speed or be pushed into the interior cabin during an accident. The local dealership and Infiniti refuse to fix the hood under the applicable warranty even though this is an obvious safety issue. My research into this hood issue has uncovered other owners with identical failures.
