general problems of the 2005 Infiniti G35

Four problems related to gasoline fuel system have been reported for the 2005 Infiniti G35. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Gasoline Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 03/01/2011

I am having a major issue with my 2005 Infiniti G35x which has a flawed fuel level sensor gauge. I have read in many forums of people having the same issue and filing a complaint. It is a serious matter, the meter sometimes reads full but is actually close to empty. This can lead to an engine shut-off on interstate and expressways and pose as a major hazard to me and other drivers. I believe Nissan/Infiniti should offer a recall or drivers should be reimbursed for any repairs that there car will undergo to fix the problem. . Thank you.

3 Gasoline Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 01/15/2011

At 55k miles, car is refusing to accept any more than 6 gallons of gas. Looked it up and there are four TSB's on it but no recalls. Further research indicates that it is a known problem with the 2005 G35 sedans. Called Infiniti in austin and was told "OH yeah, we've seen that problem a lot. It's about $900 to fix it. " ridiculous that an obvious flaw with the car, occurring nationwide has not been recalled.
