After being garaged for over 10 years the rear cross body member has severe rust rendering the car unsafe to drive . The rest of the body has little to no rust. I was unable to climb under the car to get better pictures but I did visually confirm while at my mechanics garage.

Brought car in for any state inspection and found the front suspension crossmember to 100% rusted thru. Car failed inspection. Found out that this is a common failure on this model of Infiniti. In addition replacement part is on national back order. So on top of a poorly designed part they are unable to keep them in stock.

While I was traveling on the highway at 70mph, the glass from my sunroof flew off of my vehicle onto on coming traffic. There is no active recall for this and it seems that may other people have had this same issue.

Dash board looks like start melting and sticky. When driving in a sunny day reflects back from the windshield looks like a mirror back into my face face sometimes can see and I have to stop the vehicle to see! should be a recall on it. Really dangerous to drive like this!.
There was construction done on my st 15 ninth street last week cones were put on the street and then recently removed after. After work I pulled up to park my car and it sunk in a huge hole where the construction was done my car is now stuck and can not move at all it needs to be towed in order to move there is significant damage done to my vehicle and no telling what other damages will occur when pulling my vehicle from hole, I feel more comfortable with waiting for city to come and inspect and pull my vehicle out due to the fact iam not at fault and I will not be reliable for any damages that occur when pulling my vehicle from hole.
Recently I was traveling on the freeway, not under an overpass and there was no one in front of me. I rolled my window up and shortly after that there was a loud crashing sound of shattering glass, I look in my rearview mirror to see that there were a ton of black specks coming from my car. I cracked the sunroof cover slightly only to find a shower of glass and a hole in my roof where the sunroof used to be. I closed the cover back up so I wouldn't get anymore glass in my cabin or on me, found somewhere to park and inspect my vehicle. I found that the glass had shattered upwards (air pressure maybe???) either way, this should never have happened, I am now terrified of having a sunroof because why wouldn't it shatter again like that? it was one of the single most traumatizing events that have ever happened, I couldn't even imagine what it would have been like if the cover was open! I could have got little glass shards in my eyes and the outcome could have been extremely worse.
The car won't back up when it's on reverse, sometimes it won't move at all even when it's on drive.

My slip light and vct light has came on in my 2003 Infiniti G35 and also the ebrake light and non of them will go offf. I recently hydro planed in the rain due not being able to turn my traction control on abs did nothing to stop my car from loosing traction this would never of happened if my car did not have these problems. Further looking into it they have had made a TSB talking about how the abs and anti wheel lock may malfunction. I was in a 5 car pile up and almost died. If my traction control was able to be turned on witch it wouldn't let me I would not of hydro planed my whole back end just swung forward out of nowhere people though someone in my car pulled my ebrake the way the back end just swung forward. Both the slip light and the vct light remained on along with my ebrake light. I drive my car like a baby and to barley push the gas should not result in my back end swinging forward resulting in completely wreching my car along with 4 other drivers. I feel Infiniti is definitely reliable and should of recalled these parts due to putting people in danger instead of making it a TSB like its not a big deal. I am also not the only one iv found a few people that crashed there car due to rainy wether and the traction control not wanting to turn on. I was on the freeway doing about 60 to 65. If I new Infiniti had so many problems I would not of purchased one 77 bulletins and after reading about all the problems the 2003 had and all the recalled parts I would not of purchased it and put my life at risk. I feel Infiniti should be reliable it's commen sense to know that first hand not fixing those problems would lead to serious injuries and I'm not the only one. Let me know what you think I will be emailing Infiniti to. It may not be a recalled part but it' put me and everyone else on the freeway at risk and totaled my car. Bellow is someone who also had the issue.
I have a 2008 Infiniti G35 vehicle. I recently discovered a rust hole in the lower right passenger door frame. I took my vehicle to Infiniti of scottsdale where I purchased the car to have them inspect and explain how this rust hole happened. I've taken great care of this car and have it routinely serviced and washed and parked in the garage. The Infiniti dealer suggested I report the rust hole to Infiniti consumer affairs - which I've done. Infiniti consumer affairs then sent me back to Infiniti of scottsdale to have repairs made on the car. Unfortunately, it was discovered that the rust hole in the door was just the "tip of the iceberg" in terms of rust damage to my vehicle. The dealer body shop found that the rainwater drain lines for the vehicle were improperly routed by the manufacturer and water has been draining directly into the frame resulting in nearly half of the vehicle being rusted out. The cost to repair the vehicle now vastly exceeds the limited funds approved by Infiniti consumer affairs. I'm told that because my warranty on the car just expired this last November, there is nothing that Infiniti consumer affairs can do to further help. The vehicle only has 63,000 miles on it and I'm still financing it and yet it now is half-rusted due to circumstances outside of my control. I'm concerned about the operational safety of driving a car with this much rust. I use my vehicle to routinely transport my young children to and from school and to their sports activities. I'm also concerned that even if repairs could be made, this damage significantly impacts the potential resale value of the vehicle. I would hope that a defective manufacturing event would have been corrected and that my car would either be fixed or replaced in order to not compromise my safety and the safety of my family.
Airbags did not deploy in a recent accident.
Tl-the contact owns a 2006 Infiniti G35. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the driver side seat reclined and move forward independently without warning. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 125,000. Djr.
My 2005 Infiniti G35 sedan's dashboard seems to be melting. I live in florida. During afternoon's, I see the dash is all shiny and sticky when touched. I get a glare when driving certain directions. I have another vehicle made by another manufacturer and in the exact same conditions, and I do not see this issue. The dealership when contacted mentioned they would not cover the repairs and that I was solely responsible for the charges which they said would amount close to $4000. The Infiniti consumer affairs when contacted, did nothing to address my concern. I am concerned whether this will pose a health-risk to me and my family. Please help resolve my issue.
Both outside and inside door handles on driver's door failed thus making door mechanism impossible to activate and driver's door impossible to open from inside or outside under any conditions. Door cannot be pushed open from inside because latch mechanism is in closed position securing door closed and handles do not work. Contacted dealer and dealer said it is probably a failed handle cable and that it is not uncommon on this model and is not covered under any recall, reimbursement, or safety program. This is a serious safety issue because the complete failure of the door latch mechanism traps the driver in the car; it is almost impossible for an adult-sized driver to get out because they cannot effectively crawl over the center console and gear shift to the passenger seat, assuming the passenger door is not blocked. A recall of this known defect is required immediately to save lives and allow trapped drivers and passengers to get out of car in reasonable time and way.
Vehicle accelerated rapidly while coming to a stop in a slot parking space. Operators foot was on the break peddle at the time of the rapid acceleration. Vehicle then crashed into a tree and came to a complete stop. The crash caused extensive front end damage to the hood and front bumper and the energy absorbing system. The air bags did not deploy but the air bag indicator lamp is on.
I recently noticed rust popping through the upper door tape on both front doors on the 06 Infiniti G35x. Closer inspection showed that both front doors due to a design or quality issue was rusting from the inside out on both doors. My main concern, outside of how bad the rust looks is the crash and safety integrity of the doors in a crash. I brought the car by the dealer and they identified there was a known issue for 03-04 G35 and the 06 G35 and they could not assist further. I contacted Nissan customer care and opened a case and the end result was a denial for indicating the cause was environmental and not there problem. I could not accept this and indicated both of my 2006 G35 front door are rusting from the inside and is clearly a design or part integrity issue and not a environmental issue. He again stated there was nothing else he could do and offered a service spiff instead. I indicated this was not acceptable and requested a call back from his supervisor. A call was received the next business day from his supervisor who stated their decision stands and doors are rusting from the inside out due to environmental factors and was not Nissan issue and their decision was final. Advised I still would not accept this and she stated this was end of the line for my file. I am posting this so all can be informed how Nissan stands behind their products and how they really feel about their customers-they do not care. My main concern outside of the unsatisfactory look of the rust is the safety and integrity of the doors in crash. I often have my small children in the vehicle and now feel the doors integrity is clearly compromised as the doors are rusted out and getting worse. It is sad Nissan/Infiniti is not concerned about the safety and integrity of the parts used on my vehicle to assist further with this unacceptable rust issue that can easily be resolved.
When taking my 2007 Infiniti G35 coupe in for service, both the tech and myself noticed a bad pop when opening the hood of the car. The tech stated that he has seen this many times with other Infiniti cars especially those that are the same model. He explained to me what was causing this issue. The hinges are corroding where they attach to the body of the car. Because of this, when the hood is opened, the torque from opening the hood is causing the hinges to bend. In addition to the hinges corroding and bending, when the hood is being opened, it is causing the entire hood to sink lower than it should which results in it damaging the fenders. The hood rubs against the fenders causing them to bend and chip. After listening to the tech, I did some research online and found that there are many people who have had this happen to them. There are a lot of forums and online articles that discuss this issue. I called Infiniti to discuss this issue with them and they said that there is no recall for this issue. Even the tech said that this should be a recall item because hinges, especially those connecting the hood to the car, should never do this. I am writing in hopes of getting some sort of action taken to get this issue addressed by Infiniti and having them make it a recall item.
The contact owns 2007 Infiniti G35s. The contact stated that the window seals were sticky and unstable. The vehicle was taken to a dealer. The technician diagnosed the seals needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 28,000 and the current mileage was 38,000.
The radio will turn off by itself and turn back on a few seconds later. All of the buttons in the center console become inoperable. The a/c controls also become inoperable and turns on by itself. It just doesn't turn on though, it turns on 90 degrees and starts blasting out. This is a safely issue because as a driver we never know when this air is just going to start blasting out at us like fire. If Infiniti is Smart enough to recall the sedan, they should do the same thing with the coupes. It is clearly a common problem among the '03-'04 models. If they want to keep their reputable name they will do what is right.
The contact owns a 2006 Infiniti G35. The contact stated that multiple cracks were present in the dashboard and were located near the air bag. The contact indicated that one crack extended from the passenger side to the driver side. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 35,000.
My 2007 Infiniti G35x has rust on the back hood. The dealer will take no responsibility for this issue. This car also has very cheap interior material around the door pulls that has scratched off and the plastic is exposed. Infiniti will not take any responsibility for using a defected product around the door pulls and steering wheel although online you can read many complaints.
The hood on my 2004 Infiniti G35x failed at the hinges. The hood is now elevated above the line of the windshield and will not close. The failure was not due to an accident. The hood was merely opened, and the hinges failed. I am concerned hat the hood will open or fly off at highway speed or be pushed into the interior cabin during an accident. The local dealership and Infiniti refuse to fix the hood under the applicable warranty even though this is an obvious safety issue. My research into this hood issue has uncovered other owners with identical failures.
There are metal paint flakes lodged in the clear-coat of the paint job, all over the vehicle. It shows up as small specs of color in the paint finish, really obvious when you have a black car.
The rear upper quarter panels show signs of flexing, the body appears to have minor dent like ripples from where the rear window pillar meets the rear quarter panel. In the beginning, I thought it was just a minor issue, however as time progress, the body flexing is appearing more and more.
