Unknown Or Other problem #1

I was at a traffic light on a four lane highway. No overpass, trees, other vehicles, etc. The light changed to green, I accelerated, when my car reached 15 mph I heard an explosion. I pulled to the side of the road to inspect my tires. There was no damage. I got back in my car, pulled back on the road and could hear wind. I pulled back over and got out to find the sunroof glass had exploded. When I took my car to Infiniti two hours later the only thing the service manager could tell me was that it was not something I did and maybe it was positive pressure. At the time of the explosion all windows, including the sunroof, were closed and the cooling system was on fresh air. My car is less than a month out of warranty and a lot less than 60k. Currently, Infiniti is not offering to repair the sunroof under good faith or warranty.

Unknown Or Other problem #2

I was entering onto the highway and my entire defrost / ac / radio cluster failed. The ac came on full blast, replacing the defrost!!! I had to pull over and park the car due to the safety factor of not being able to run my defrost. The issue is the ac, defrost, and radio stack controls stop working. There is no way to get them to work once the problem occurs. There has been a recall on this for G35¿s built in 2002 for the 2003 model year. My G35 was built in 2002 but when I called Infiniti they said my ¿engine is the wrong model Infiniti needs to fix this thru recall as this is a major safety issue concerning the defrost. I can only imagine if my 17 year old daughter had been driving and the defrost went out. I could have been a very rich man at the expense of my daughters life. I have read where thousands of G35 owners are having the same issue. I don¿t think any daughters life is worth the price to fix this already well documented issue. Infiniti needs to step to the plate. They already know of the issue but have turned a blind eye. I envision Infiniti getting blasted by law suits because this will kill someone. When that happens, Infiniti will not have a leg to stand on. The issue is too well documented for Infiniti to say they didn¿t know.

Unknown Or Other problem #3

2006 G35x sedan - when opening the hood a loud creaking sound is made and the front fenders were scraped by the hood of the vehicle. The vehicle was never in any kind of accident and worked just fine when previously opened. Checked on the internet and apparently its a very common problem for the hood hinges to become bent or fail to be lubricated causing the hood to shift and in some cases even bend the hood/front fenders of the vehicle. There is no mention of needing to lubricate this part in the manual for standard maintenance. As it only just happened I have yet to find out if the local Infiniti dealer will be covering the damages under the certified preowned warranty.

Unknown Or Other problem #4

When I recently purchased a set of new tires from a local tire dealer, the mechanic warned me that Nissan / Infiniti have a history of defective tire pressure sensors and indicated that the tire pressure sensor was indeed defective. I looked on-line and saw that vehicles have been recalled for this issue, but my vehicle was not recalled. Also, since this item is known to be defective, I do not understand why the warranty requires the part to be submitted before any action is taken or any rebate is issued. I could not be covered under my warranty since the part was discarded by the mechanic upon determining that it was defective.

Unknown Or Other problem #7

Dealer installed a new air/fuel sensor. Twenty seven miles later the ses light came on and the engine completely lost power in the middle of an intersection. The dealeship had the vehicle towed to their shop. Then informed me that a codep2135 was detected. The vehilce had just been diaognostically tested and repaired. Could have been a serious accident as a large pick-up stopped only about two feet from my stalled vehicle. I turned the key off and the vehicle started and had normal power, but the service engine light was back on. L.

Car fire. . My car caught fire while in my office parking lot. I noticed a buzzing noise in my door panel when I rolled my window up. This may be coincidental , 15 minutes later while inside my office I notice my car in flames. The car is a total loss. I had never received any recalls for my car so something is terribly wrong. I was not injured thank god. The fire dep. Said this was the 2nd infinity in 2 weeks they have put out fire on.

Unknown Or Other problem #9

2004 Infiniti G35 coupe (laser red)- hundreds on sand/stone/rock chips on hood, bumper, front fenders, roof, and front of rear wheel-wells. The vehicle has less than 15,000 miles on it and it rarely driven on the highway. Two dealerships inspected vehicle and declined to help. Sub-par paint to say the least!.

Unknown Or Other problem #10

I own a 2004 Infiniti G35, and repeated have had problems with the air entering the passenger cabin through the air ducts. Intermittently the air smells "smokey" and at times the air is warm regardless of the temperature setting (when it is blowing air, with the air conditioning off). Took it into the dealer a couple of times and they couldn't find the problem. During the same period, the car burned oil (with less than 20,000 miles). Since then the dealer suggested switching to synthetic oil and the car no longer burns oil, and I very rarely notice smokey air in the cabin.

Unknown Or Other problem #12

I have noticed that the air from the vents is heated no matter what the desired temp setting. I have also noticed that at times I smell fumes coming through the vents even when I am not in traffic. I decided to investigate where the air intake is drawn into the car, and to my surprise, the air is being taken through the battery compartment on the passenger side and the master cylinder compartment on the driver side. I find it unbelievable that the air being fed to the passenger compartment is coming from under the hood - worse from the battery compartment. If you remove the battery cover and look behind the battery, you will see the intake duct and the blower. This has to be a major health issue.

Unknown Or Other problem #13

On January 26th, 2004 I was coming back from school on the state highway and all of a sudden my G35 coupe (2003) went out control. As a result I crashed into the median and damaged the car badly. I have driven this car for little over half a year and it never seem to be performing bad. That day I was just shocked after what happened. It looked like I would pull a hand brake and start making donuts in the middle of the highway. I can also tell you that my case is the same as complaint number 10018618. I also thought that I skid on the black ice but the roadway was perfectly dry when I checked afterwards. Can you tell me how can I investigate my case, because I am 100% convinced that something was malfunctioning in my car at the time of the accident. How can it be possible that traveling on the straight road I started to spin like crazy all the sudden.

Consumer would like information regarding recall repairs for a 2003 Infiniti G35. The manufacturer recently notified the consumer of a recall on the vehicle.
