Driver lost complete control today in a parking lot. The brakes steering and engine shut down preventing any control by the driver, the car stopped rolled and stopped on its own. Luckily was in a parking lot and was involved in any accident.
Steering wheel locked and could not unlock with key nor could dealer repair shop. A dealer repair person said it was not unusual. Dealer will have to break the lock and reinstall at a cost of $1,500+. The car only has 55,000+miles, and there are a number of complaints issued over the past few years to NHTSA. One person cited that the manufacture of the "part" told Nissan to "recall" and replace the part. Inifinity is a part of Nissan, but I have yet to find a "recall" issued for that reason by Nissan nor its subsiuary - Infiniti.
