Equipment problem #1

Passenger airbag sensor failed and results in a $7000 fix. Their solution to the problem is a brand new seat. My son exited the vehicle and the airbag light started blinking and now doesn't stop, which means the airbag isn't on. Also, one of the motors responsible for a flap which folds the top down has failed, making the top stop halfway down. The convertible top has four motors (one for each flap). And it's nearly $2000 per motor. The part is back ordered, so it makes me think it is a common problem. Both of these issues are commonly reported by G37 owners on the internet.

Equipment problem #2

The carpet on the passenger side gets wet and now moisture was on the inside of the wind shield. I am concerned that that my electronics and wiring under the carpet may be damaged as well as cause mold and mildew. Plus it will cause me financial difficulties but not because of my neglect but because of some fault with the car's manufacturing. The vehicle was stationary in my driveway when my wife told me that her side the passenger side was wet.

Equipment problem #3

Water leaking into the cabin of the g series vehicles , likely from the wearing gasket of the part known as 'plug-side trim'. Soaks the carpet and may possibly damage wiring under carpet (which may damage electronics and in the case of other manufacturers, cause fires), as well as create a mold\mildew hazard and condensation that can cloud road visibility.

Equipment problem #4

The windshield is leaking on both driver and passenger side. Whenever there is a heavy down pour of rain my carpet is completely wet. It happens if I'm stationary and while driving.

Equipment problem #5

The inside gets completely wet when it rains. Water leaks down on the passenger and driver side. This happens when the car is in motion and when it's not in motion. The rugs get soaked everytime.

Equipment problem #6

The vehicle was involved in an accident where another car hit the front of the vehicle and the air bags failed to deploy.

Equipment problem #7

It started when I was pulling into the parking lot in my office building. With no warning, the car started to accelerate at around 7-8 rpm making a roaring noise heard by many witnesses. This resulted in losing control of the car which then went off the side of the lot into a steep decline where I hit a tree. If it wasn't for that tree there was another 60-70 ft drop into a canyon that I inevitably would have fallen into. You might say, "OH I might've pressed on the acceleration instead of the brakes", but there were skid marks left on the ground that would indicate I was already pressing the brakes to come to a stop, when it suddenly accelerated. In addition, I wouldn't have pressed the brakes that hard, so even if I did accidentally press the acceleration, there would be no way the car would hit 7-8 rpm without virtually flooring it. These are hypothetical situations that I am posing to show that it was not accidental on my part, but a defect within the car. This car posed a life threatening injury that I would like for future car owners to know and to take into account. Please, please, please share this to anyone you know who owns this model car and report to every vehicle institution you guys know of. Thank you.

Equipment problem #8

While driving on sept 15 from raleigh, nc to charleston, SC the sunroof on my Infiniti G37 shattered. It was a clear sunny day with a temp about 80 degrees and to the best of my knowledge there was no foreign object that hit the car. I purchased the car new from the Infiniti dealer in January 2015, the car has 3,200 miles and is kept in the garage at home and in a parking garage at work.

Equipment problem #9
