The car has a massive delay when you press on the gas , a few times almost causing an accident for me. I've seen others have this problem also. Is Infiniti going to fix this deadly problem.
Coming to any situation where I need to change lanes or enter a road . Trying to excel and press the gas pedal the car sort of bogs out and slows you or pulled back. Making it a danger , fatal possibly. You excellent on the gas paddle for both situations I've talked about here, and most cars excellent when you press the gas. The 2011 infinity G37 does not. It slows and pulls you back creating a detrimental situation.
On the sunny and dry morning of December 9, 2020, I proceeded to alpine cemetery, perth amboy, NJ to honor my mother's grave site and her anniversary. As I passed the gate entrance to the cemetery, I turned right; as I have always done in previous years. Once I turned to the right I noticed that there was a burial procession, with the funeral hearse obstructing the entire vehicle path. Since I could not drive forward, the only recourse I had was to turn around and find another vehicle path. Once I had taken the new path, which I believe would lead me to my mother's grave site, I realized that I could not reach her grave site since it was further up the new path. Once I turned the vehicle to the left; the vehicle went automatically backwards then forwards with the sensation of taking off the ground like an airplane. I had no control of the vehicle and the vehicle proceeded automatically hitting numerous tomb stones until one tomb stone stopped the vehicle. This failure occurred numerous times until a 3ft tomb stone stopped the vehicle. Vehicle's engine stalled (shuttered, acceleration lost, felt like choking) at highway speeds, about 50-60 mph, creating a dangerous situation and I needed to pull over onto the shoulder immediately as the car decelerated to under 30 within seconds. The check engine light came on soon after. Searched "2009 Infiniti G37 engine sputtering" with hundreds of similar results, somehow Infiniti dealerships were never able to reproduce the defect. This car is extremely dangerous and Infiniti needs to start placing human lives over their sales.
Tl the contact owns a 2010 Infiniti G37x. While driving various speeds, several warning indicators illuminated and falsely displayed that the key was not in the ignition. In addition, the fuel mileage was reported incorrectly and the vehicle began to sputter. The contact also stated that the trunk opened independently and a warning indicator illuminated, confirming that the trunk was open on more than one occasion. Bennett Infiniti in allentown, pennsylvania was made aware of the failures, but the vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 78,000.
My wife was pulling into her parking spot at work with her foot on the brake when the car suddenly lurched forward. She clearly remembers braking as normal when parking and had witnesses standing within 15 feet that noticed the sound of the brakes and the brake lights lit. My wife's head hit and cracked the windshield. In addition to head injuries, she has whiplash and other injuries. The front bumper was badly damaged along with fluids leaking from the engine. The air bags never deployed.
