I recently replaced my cooper tire cs5 grand touring tires. Size 225/55r17 tires after a blowout on the freeway. I just learned that these tires were subject to a recall. My dealer could not provide the dot serial numbers because the tires were replaced with new ones. I called cooper tire consumer relations and was told they cannot provide a remedy if I do not have the tires with the dot numbers. I believe I have been penalized because I had a safety problem with the tires that caused me to replace them and can therefore not provide the required documentation. I am asking for your help in remedying the situation.
My 2010 G37 Infiniti is equipped with michelin pilot sport a/s 3 tires, size 245/45r18. Only had the vehicle 30 days and while driving approximately 55 mph on highway, the rear passenger side tire blew out and caused the vehicle to crash. The vehicle was damaged bad and not drivable and had to be towed. There were no injuries and a police report was not filed because it did not involve another vehicle. The tire was a replacement tire. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate vehicle failure mileage was 52,000 and the tire failure mileage was unknown. Not sure of the damage cost done to vehicle. Request research help.
I love my G37. But my tire on the front driver side has a slow leak and I took it into the Infiniti shop and they stated my tire as fine. But they place some nitro in my tire. Yet for about two days in my dash bard the sensor light for the tire came on again and my tire looked flat again. These tire was purchased at the Infiniti shop also.
