1 Other Fuel System Hoses Lines/piping, And Fittings problem

Failure Date: 02/21/2014

2/21/21, turning on the ignition created a severely rough idle, the auto could not maintain "running status", a severe fuel odor ensued with blue-black smoke billowing out of the exhaust pipe. Towed to the Nissan dealer in shingle springs, CA. Per the dealer evaluation: #2 fuel injector replacement and "o" rings. The mechanic found metal shavings on the fuel injector and it continued with blue-black smoke per the exhaust while running. May require new fuel sensor if this does not resolve. We purchase all our fuel from the folsom, CA. Sams club. 2/11/14 was the date of the last gas purchase. 2/20/14 we attempted to purchase fuel for another vehicle but found the station closed during inspection by a company called tankology. Could there be a relationship with metal shavings in the fuel, consequently creating this break down? to date we have spent $624. 00 in repairs, $150. 00 in car rental. We would appreciate your evaluation and response. Thank you.
