The contact owns a 2002 Infiniti I35. The contact stated that while driving at any speed, the vehicle would suddenly shut off and the check engine light would illuminate. The contact was unable to restart the vehicle immediately. After attempting to start the vehicle a few times, she was able to maneuver to the side of the road. The vehicle was towed to an authorized dealership where the contact was informed that the cam position sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was being repaired at the time of the complaint. The manufacturer had not been notified. The current and failure mileages were approximately 26,000.
