The red airbag light on the instrument panel is on. I have taken the car to the infinity dealer and they say a sensor is out and would be $800 to $1000 to repair. It seems the airbag system should be warranted as long as the car is registered. The mfg book says if this light is on the airbag may inflate, not inflate when needed, just not work. I am concerned, I do not want the bag to inflate as I or my wife is driving. This not a very good safety system if can go out from just one sensor it seems it should have a redundant system for this. This is a safety issue that seems infinity should have to fix especially with the problem with airbags. I do not want my wife or I to be a statistic for a bad airbag system.

The steering wheel is hard to turn and it makes a weird noise when turning it. And I have gotten things sent to me about the airbags being recalled.
Takata recall : I received a notice from the nys d of m stating that there was an urgent recall on my car, and listing the VIN and make, model, year. I checked with your web site and found no recalls on my car. My Infiniti dealer checked and found no recall for my car, but said there may have been recalls for that model, year, etc. But not for my VIN. Who do I trust?.

My name is krystal bickings, I have received a letter containing an urgent airbag saftey recall on my Infiniti I 35 2003. The letter from florida highway safety and moter vehicles states tthat hat there has been an airbag recalled for a safety defect in the airbag that could result in death or serious injury to me and/or my passengers. This happens to be my only vehicle and is extremely concerning because I have two small children, one with disabilities and the other is an infant! we depend on this vehicle everyday for specialty appointments and work! I need my car repaired as soon as possible, and while my care is being repaired, I will need another vehicle, as this is a huge inconvenience to my family!.

I received recall notice to have an authorized dealer repair the air bag system. As I have no Infiniti dealer in my vicinity, I am requesting reimbursement for time and fuel to take my car to the nearest Infiniti dealer, perhaps bakersfield, CA. My local Nissan said they cannot perform this repair! please advise.

I own a 2002 Infiniti I35. While I was driving at approximately 35 miles per hour, making a left turn, I was hit on the rear driver's side (t-boned). Non of my air bags deployed and I was severely injured. I sustained injuries to my neck, both shoulders and my back. The driver of the other vehicle illegally ran a stop sign. My vehicle was taken to my residence and was not repaired. As a direct and proximate result of the accident I have been permanently disabled and constantly dealing with the pain. I'm sure I would be in much better shape if the airbag would have deployed. I called the police and reported the accident when it happened. I have not informed my manufacturer of the issues that I have experienced as of yet. My vehicle currently has about 166,000 miles. Another issue my 2002 Infiniti I35 was having, not related to the accident referenced above, was stalling without warning on several different occasions. This happens sometimes when I am driving. When this happens, the lights on my dash panel blink on and off rapidly for a few seconds and then turns off completely. My steering wheel locks up at that time as well.
Consumer states the vehicle at a stand still and was struck by a streetcar. The driver door was hit and none of the air bags deployed in the vehicle. The dealer was notified. Please provide more information. Mr.
