While driving on the freeway last night during rush hour my car engine just stopped. . The dash lights came on,( slip, tcs, brake, check engine soon, oil and battery). I was able to get to the shoulder safely. Very scared but safe I was in the middle lane. Turned off ignition waited a few and restarted. Took surface street the rest of the way. 3-4 hours it started fine, however while driving back 25 miles on a residential street it happened again. Got it stared and some lights remained on (slip, tcs, check engine soon). Haven't started it today. Going to mechanic on Monday. Only have 65000 miles on the car. I phoned Infiniti consumer affairs and was told my VIN wasn't and is not part of any recall and if it turns out to be the same issue I still have to pay for diagnosis and repairs.

My vehicles crank/cam sensor I believe has gone bad. I was driving on a city street, the car was driving fine and it was like the engine shut off but it was not I could drive 1 mph, and car would not rev up. I saw there were recalls on this for Infinitis made in 2202-2003 but for some reason my 2003 Infiniti is not included in this! car no longer will move.
My name is krystal bickings, I have received a letter containing an urgent airbag saftey recall on my Infiniti I 35 2003. The letter from florida highway safety and moter vehicles states tthat hat there has been an airbag recalled for a safety defect in the airbag that could result in death or serious injury to me and/or my passengers. This happens to be my only vehicle and is extremely concerning because I have two small children, one with disabilities and the other is an infant! we depend on this vehicle everyday for specialty appointments and work! I need my car repaired as soon as possible, and while my care is being repaired, I will need another vehicle, as this is a huge inconvenience to my family!.
The car loses power after a while and will just stop as if it ran out of gas. This has happened several times, otherwise the car is ok. The mechanic suspects it has something to do with the crank position or circuit board. There was recalls on this model in 11/2003 and 12/2003 that describe exactly what happens to my vehicle. This slowing down to stopping happened on a major expressway and I had to be towed. It also happened again in my street and driveway having to be towed again.
Car stalled while driving down the road at a speed of 30 mph. Diagnostic test revealed codes for camshaft/crankshaft position sensors. Vehicle not included in recall. Mechanic verified that the sensors failing were the problem. Car towed to home. Sensors have been replaced and failed again!.
I was approaching to intersection traffic light, slow down form 35mph to stop saw the green signal, try to move by applying the accelerator car does not move. On the dash I saw the lights abs and tcs off coming up and going every 3 seconds. Turn on the emergency lights hit the break put the car to parking & put to the d gear it moved slowly and other two lights came on seat belt light even though was wearing it, and air bag light came on. Even if I apply accelerator no noise of humming nothing, was able to safely move to the nearest place (gas station at the intersection) & able to park. After parking it I turned off the car and open the hood to see was everything alright with my car at this time I felt the strong smell of some wire or plastic burned ( felt the same smell while vehicle started to stall at the intersection but was not that strong). Everything looked alright. Let it cool down a bit then checked fluids, all the fluids were ok. Tried to crank did not start, all the light stays on and as I tried to crank all the lights on the dash flashes but does not turn on. Tried by putting into neutral and cranking it turned on about to move and abs tcs off lights started flashing every 3 seconds. Parked back and turned off. Waited for 10 to 15 minutes and tried to turn on no turning on. All the light comes on when I put the keys and turn to ready. As tried to crank it all the lights flashes. Called my brother came gave me jump it cranked but tcs abs started flashing. Took out the battery wen to autozone 24hrs store to check it out they said battery is good 79% charge still remain. Came back installed battery tried to crank did not happen. Got the jump from my brother it cranked, but after few seconds lights abs tcs off started flashing. Parked it and left overnight. Towed it today to service center waiting for them to diagnose it.
I called my local dealership and they refuse to service the recall over the weekend, making it almost impossible for someone who works full time on an hourly basis to get this change done without issue.

We were driving locally at normal speed and the car suddenly lost power as though we ran out of gas. We were able to slide somewhat to the side of the road. After a while, the car started again and we thought it was just some kind of fluke. We are senior citizens and do not drive a great deal however we thought all was well and in August we road on the highway 95 to connecticut and the exact same thing happened after we arrived and were pulling into a local mall, once again we had to be towed. If this had happened to us on 95 we would have been killed. About a week ago my daughter was driving at normal speed in this area locally and the same exact thing happened, at night and the car would not respond and a tow truck had to be called and the car towed to a service station. The next day we spoke to the mechanic and he said he drove the car all over and did testing and found nothing. This is a very serious matter. My daughter often has her baby in the car and so even more danger is involved. I contacted infinity and they said there is no recall but we saw many complaints by owners on the web search, infinity 35 2003, with the exact same complaint. Does there have to be fatality to force some action?.
I understand that per campaign NHTSA # 03v455000 - crank/cam positon sensor weld, my veh was part of this recall. . Infiniti I35 2002-2003 and I was not notified. It shows that the circuit board for the cran position sensor have an improper solder joint due to solder deformation caused by heat stress acceleraton residue during the soldering process. This continously happent to my vehicle where my check engine warning light comes on , I have no power & the vehicle stops running with no warning during operation which is very dangerous. I have no ideal when the vehicle is going to shut off while driving leaving no control of vehicle. I called in reference to a current recall issue & also advised of this & was told by representative that this has expired & its is too late. "what" my life is in danger just driving this vehicle. What can be done concerning this matter?.
Consumer purchased a vehicle that the garage door opener will not work and dealers are refusing to service the vehicle. (built in garage door opener).
