Vehicle is unsafe to drive due to disintegration of the lower tie bar (directly below and supporting the radiator, engine, and transmission) due to rust. This is a 2. 25" square metal frame component connecting the left and right front portions of the vehicles uni-body construction. It is also providing, one of two connecting locations for the hood latch assembly to be bolted into the frame. 3/4 of my lower tie bar is missing in 7 years. This is the type of rust you would see on a vehicle left in a field for 30 years. Not a 7 year old garage kept meticuliously maintained car. I filed a claim with Infiniti consumers affairs and their response is there is nothing Infiniti can do about this , it is normal wear. The I-35 is sister to the Nissan maxima which also has the same problem, but Nissan/inifini will not accept responsibility for what is clearly a manufacturing defect.
I was driving on the highway and heard knocking sounds coming from the front right-side lower area whenever I ride over a small bump or uneven areas on the road it sound like a suspension problem. I took my car to the dealer and some part of the suspension was fixed. Now the knocking sound is back along with a squeaking noise. I spend approximately $3,500 and seem to have the same dangerous defect. Thank you,.
: the contact stated the mud flaps on all four tires cause snow and ice to build up between the wheel wells and the tires. This causes the steering and control to be difficult. The build up caused the vehicle to slide on snow and icy roads. The dealership determined the build up occurs on all vehicles with that type of mud flaps.
Continous rattling noise from the dashboard in every bump of the road regardless of speed. This happens only when outside temperature less than 30 degree farenheit. Took to the dealer twice with no fix.
Vehicle will pull to either right or left when driving at any speed. Vehicle becomes more difficult to control. Dealer said all front wheel drives pull to one side or another like that. Consumer states vehicle is experiencing front end shaking, rattling, stepping, and vibrating, steering wheel pulls and making noise while accelerating and making u-turns, right side tire stepping and vibrating, seat memory buttons inoperative, dash display changes by itself from dte to mpg and computer displays 80 miles to go when the tank is empty, engine shakes and vibrates during a cold start, vehicle idles rough when cold and is still present after vehicle is warmed up, vibration/rattling noise from windows at freeway speed and no longer raise up when depressing remote button, vehicle hesitates when pushing on gas pedal, and when in reverse, the gear shakes.
