Three problems related to engine and engine cooling have been reported for the 2007 Infiniti M35. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
My drive shaft broke while I was on the highway driving at 65mph. The drive shaft then bang a massive dent in the engine. 1200$ I was lucky enough to be alive to report this.
Going down hyw 11 doing about 40 to 50 mph ; as mash the gas the car stated slowing down. I check to make sure that my car was still in drive and it was. I pull over in a parking lot and call my brother. We tried restart it but we was unsuccessful. No warring of any kind; no smoke, no dash lights, no nose of any kind it just cut off. I had to have it taken to shop and find out my motor is gone. I have not had my car a year as yet . I am very upset.
Warm air was coming out of the vents. I took it to the local Infiniti dealer and this was the diagnosis. Compressor : clutch failed to engage in compressor & therefore I had no air conditioning. I bought the vehicle new in October of 2006. It only has 35,800 miles. There is no reason for a compressor on any car to malfunction at 35,000 miles and certainly not on a luxury auto. Parts were $830, labor was $369, plus tax. Total cost of repair was $1354. 00. I have owned cars made by Ford, gm, Toyota, BMW and have never had a compressor problem. I kept an 2002 Toyota and a1996 BMW for 10 years with no compressor problems.
