On 5/8/15 I left paint shop and was going down a driveway (downhill) and as I approached street (rt 26 libery road) I pressed brake and my car would not stop. I repeatedly pressed brake and it continued to go forward into street. Cars were honking and swerving to avoid hitting me. I continued to press brake however my car continued to go forward about 100 meters thru a red light nearly colliding with several cars at the intersection of marriottsville & liberty road before it came to a stop. I immediately notified the jba Infiniti dealership and Infiniti's corporate office who transferred me to Infiniti consumer affairs (case # 18774908) I was informed that to date, there have not been any issues like this incident regarding brakes for my year make & model (2010 Infiniti M35x). My car was immediately taken to the dealership for assessment. Note: my car had Infiniti express service performed on 5/1/15 & tech only recommendation were for tires.
On three separate days, I had trouble stopping my brand new Infiniti M35. The first day, on four occasions when I applied the brakes, the car bucked and shook and continued to go forward before finally stopping. On the second and third days, this occurred twice each day. Several people saw this happening and screemed for me to put the car into neutral or turn off the motor. I took the car to the Infiniti dealer three times for this problem. Checked the computer read out, road tested the vehicle for 70 miles, and inspected it thoroughly but could not duplicate the problem. My friend tried twice to apply the brake and accelerator pedal simultaneously but could not duplicate the problem that I had. On each occasion, I was scared to death and was shaking and sweating. I am afraid that I will be killed in this car due to a malfunction that can not be diagnosed. If anyone else has had a similar problem, please report it so that Infiniti will know that they have a serious, intermittent problem with the M35 that might end up by killing people.
