Dashboard Crack Problems of Infiniti M35

Takata recall repair was done on 7/8/17 at the Infiniti dealers in marietta, georgia. As a result my dashboard was damaged on the passanger side near the the bunt on the dashboard. The damage was not there before the work was done. I was so upset about this! I was not informed that damage would occur due to the repairs that needed to be done for the airbag replacement. I had no idea what would happen. Got my car and a bolt was left lying on the floor. I did make the service representative wells walker and he said they used another bolt they couldn't find that one but it was right on the passenger side floor?! the dashboard had some cracks but nothing like what the pieced together and gave me my car back. This is a direct result from replacing the airbag. Why is it going yo cost me?? I did not break my dashboard. Help. What can I do?.

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2006 Infiniti M35. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 16v349000 (air bags). The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that there were cracks along the dash board. The technician mentioned that if the recall were performed, there was a possibility that the cracks on the dashboard could enlarge. The technician also stated that the part needed to perform the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 120,000. Parts distribution disconnect.

This car has always been garaged and professionally detailed. . . I notified Infiniti about my dashboard cracking in several places and got nowhere about 2 years ago. Now, many more cracks have occurred and the dashboard now is also softening to the point that I get glare in my windshield and the dash is so soft that it is very tacky and if accidentally is hit with a fingernail, the surface comes right off like putty.

2007 Infiniti M35. Consumer writes in regards to vehicle dashboard starting to crack.

Tl-the contact owns a 2006 Infiniti M35. The contact stated that the dashboard was melting, causing the dashboard to crack and be sticky to the touch. The vehicle was taken to a dealer and the contact was informed that the dashboard needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 100,000. Mf.

The passenger dashboard on my Infiniti is cracking and Infiniti will not warranty part. The crack is occurring over the passenger airbag and I am concerned for the safety and security of my family. Resolution has been unsuccessful and I feel that Infiniti has sold me an inferior produce even if out of warranty. The year of the vehicle is 2008, and there should not be these kinds of deterioration of materials. The lack of customer satisfaction and consideration of the safety of the occupants is unacceptable.
