Takata recall. The contact owns a 2008 Infiniti M35. The contact stated that NHTSA campaign number: 16v349000 (air bags) exceeded a reasonable amount of time for repair. The contact received the second notification in January of 2017. The dealer (Infiniti of south atlanta 4201 jonesboro rd, union city, GA, 30291) stated that the parts were available; however, they experienced issues with the dashboard fracturing due to the remedy. The dealer was waiting on dashboards before repairing the passenger side air bag inflator. The manufacturer was not contacted. In addition, the contact stated that the fuel tank nozzle continued to click off when the fuel tank was half full. Per the manufacturer, the contact received a warranty letter for the failure and a sticker. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer to be diagnosed or repaired. There three technical service bulletins in reference to the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 133,000. Parts distribution disconnect.

Takata inflators. Recall from may 2016, letter specifically says do not allow passengers to ride in the passenger seat. I think enough time has been allowed for the manufacturer to remedy this problem. In the mean time, I have a family of 5 and have to have someone ride in the passenger seat. I would like for this to be taken care of more promptly and not almost a year later have the status state "recall incomplete - remedy not yet available?????.

Tamara recall notification of recall received 6/2016. Infiniti unable to repair due to parts. Finally arranged repair with infinit 1/3/2017. Now Infiniti says parts used to repair were for 2008 and later models. Part numbers installed 985617999e air bag inflator. B4a67eh50d harness kit sub. Repair invoice # incs10700. Infiniti of cincinnati. Dealership has tried to get information from Infiniti as to whether or not this part is acceptable for 2007 but cannot get response. Dealer indicates part appeared identical and there are no lights indicating the system would not function. The dealership provided a loaner for 2 weeks while they tried to get update from Infiniti. They were unable to do so. Dealership has tried their best at this point and I believe the issue lies with Infiniti. No parts specified for the 2007 model have been available. At this point we are now 9 months into this without a resolution. If the parts they installed will work, I si,ply need Infiniti to verify this and provide documentation in writing that an acceptable repair has been made. If not, I need them to replace these parts with the correct one.
Received a recall notice 2 months ago. Can't get a straight answer from the dealer or infinity as to when thedefective front passenger side air bag inflator will be replaced.
Takata inflators - what can I do to have this recall corrected? as of today Infiniti has taken no action (other than send out notices there is a recall) nor do they have any estimated timeframe to correct this recall issue. I do not have use of my front seat (with my older grandchild) due to his recall. Is there any law that requires Infiniti to fix this issue within a specific timeframe? thank you for your attention to this matter.

Airbag inflator on passenger side was recalled may 2016. Part is still not available.
Takata inflator replacement has not been installed, rendering the passenger seat unsafe to be occupied. Recall deficiency was identified six months ago.
I am trying to get a definitive answer on my vehicle's airbags. I have been unable to determine if my vehicle was assembled using the recalled takata inflators. I have contacted Nissan consumer affairs on several occasions and I have been given conflicting information. When I enter the VIN of my vehicle on the nhsta website it does not return a "hit" for a recall. However; on more than one occasion I was advised by Nissan consumer affairs that the recall was only applicable to vehicles in high humidity areas and they listed the affected states and geographic areas. Maryland was not on that list. My understanding is that the recall was expanded to include all geographic areas but I have not been able to obtain a definitive answer if my vehicle is now part of the recall. Nissan claims it cannot determine if my vehicle was assembled using takata airbag systems yet it says that my VIN is not affected. Given the high degree of risk of driving a vehicle with defective airbags I must have an accurate assessment if takata airbags/inflators are in my vehicle. I have asked Nissan if they can inspect the vehicle to make this determination but they have refused unless and until I have a problem with the airbags. The obvious problem with this position is that an airbag defect could be fatal. I am counting on your agency to assist me with this issue. Thank you.
Takata recall vehicle purchased around 2009 in florida. Airbag safety indicator light flashing sometime around early 2015. Took vehicle for safety inspection and was told that upon deployment of the air bag, excessive internal pressure is likely to cause inflator to rupture. Contacted manufacturer for coverage under recall, Nissan / Infiniti refused to replace the airbag under recall, despite possibility that, in the event of a crash involving deployment of the air bag, inflator is likely to rupture with peices of metal projected into the vehicle occupants and potentially resulting in serious injury or death. I would like the manufacturer to cover this safety concern for my vehicle under recall # 15v226000, recall # 14v701000 or any other related recalls. Please note that the March 1, 2015 date of occurrence is approximate.
