One problem related to speed control cable has been reported for the 1997 Infiniti QX4. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Gas pedal sticks from a complete stop during slight acceleration. If I try to feather it before full acceleration, it still jumps forward. Technician said it's in the cable.
