Three problems related to frame and members have been reported for the 1999 Infiniti QX4. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The driver side strut tower has detached from the body approximately 50% due to corrosion and welding/rivet failure. A clanking metallic sound is made on normal driving conditions.
The cars frame is so severally rotted out that pieces of the running boards are falling off. The undercarriage of the truck is so rotted out that parts are falling off the car when I hit a bump. The car has been garaged since purchase in 2004.
The contact owns a 1999 Infiniti Qx4. The contact was driving 30 mph when the abs warning light illuminated. The vehicle was then taken to the dealer and the contact was advised that there was an extreme separation of the frame, which was severely corroded and causing the warning light to illuminate. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileage was 95,000.
