I had an oil change on Saturday. After leaving the service station and driving home the vehicle begin to accelerate on its own. I tried breaking but the vehicle continued to accelerate. After barely missing two vehicles and unable to come to a complete stop, I turned off the main road and killed the ignition. Still unaware of what was happening I waited a few minutes and attempted to complete my mission home only to run into the same behavior. Once I arrived home I parked the car until Monday morning. Unable to drive I called the tow truck company and had my SUV taken to the dealership. It turned out the issue was a bad throttle cable that got stuck.
