Gas gauge was between 1/4 and empty,yellow fuel light was not on when I ran out of gas. Gauge is not accurate any more.

The vehicle was inspected by an independent mechanic, who advised that the fuel level sensor failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and advised that the vehicle was previously repaired under a manufacturer's recall and offered no further assistance.
