Air Bag Light On problems of the 2008 Infiniti QX56

Tl the contact owns a 2008 Infiniti Qx56. When the contact started the vehicle, the air bag indicator illuminated and blinked on and off. The contact called modern Infiniti at 336-852-5981 (located at 3605 w wendover Ave, greensboro, nc 27407) and was informed that there was no recall. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 140,000.

Airbag light suddenly began flashing. I took truck to dealer and they said driver side airbag module shorted internally. Price to fix is $1,600. 00. This truck has never been in an accident or at any time had its airbags deployed. All service to truck has been with Infiniti dealerships. Service representative said electronic issue and not owner error. This could happen at any time with this truck. I called customer service and they said problem is covered if truck less than 4 years old or 60,000 miles. This is an electronic manufacturing defect and Infiniti should not charge for their electronic defect affecting safety. All airbags in vehicle are now disabled. Take responsibility Infiniti.
