Two problems related to loud engine noise have been reported for the 2012 Infiniti QX56. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Tl- the contact owns a 2012 Infiniti Qx56. The contact stated that the vehicle would not accelerate over 35 mph with an abnormal noise detected coming from the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to Infiniti of birmingham 1804 montgomery hwy, hoover, al 35244 (205) 403-5221 where the contact was informed that the timing chain needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure an informed the contact that the VIN number was not included in a recall. The failure mileage was 128,000. Dr.
2012 Infiniti Qx56. Consumer writes in regards to abnormal noise from timing chain area and may be necessary to replace the variable valve timing camshaft sprockets to correct the problem.
