Air Bag Problems of Infiniti QX56

The passenger airbag restraint system has failed. Specifically, the passenger seat airbag sensor has failed, meaning there is no current airbag functionality for the passenger in my 2010 Infiniti Qx56. There was a voluntary safety recall for (r1606) for Infiniti Qx56's with years 2014-2016 for the same fault. Obviously, this is a tremendous life and safety risk and should be resolved by the manufacturer.

I was involved in an auto rollover accident on january2, 2023 when a driver "t-boned" me in my 2008 Infiniti Qx56 striking the middle of the passenger side of my Qx56 after running a stop sign and failing to yield to my right of way causing my Qx56 to roll over 3 times. My driver's steering wheel airbag did not deploy. To my knowledge all the other airbags did deploy. I suffered neck, right shoulder, and lower back injuries from the rollover but remained in the driver's seat as the seatbelt system worked well. My Qx56 was a total loss.

My airbag light came on and is flashing, I also have no horn.

Air bag not working, horn not working properly. And other functions. Was told clock spring needs to be replaced.

Timing chain started rattling @ 125,000 miles. . However, my VIN shows no recall for my car. Cats went bad, had to be replaced and now need to be replaced again. Yet no recall on my car. The battery constantly goes dead in the car. I bought a new infinity battery in the car the same thing happened. You can reproduce this problem by sitting in the car listening to the radio for 30 minutes. I was sitting in the car listening radio and the car battery went dead and the car shut off. This is a huge issue, the Qx56 is a 8 cylinder car. It does not charge very easily. I have to carry a battery charger in my car. I have been stranded several times in the last year. I have taken the car to infinity and they claim nothing is wrong with the car. Since it is a big car the battery drain quickly.

Tl-the contact owns a 2012 infinity Qx56. The contact stated that the passanger air bag cover was cracking. The contact went to a dealer Infiniti of coral gables service center 2701 s le jeune rd, coral gables, FL 33134 (786) 899-5127 who said their was nothing they could do and referrd the contact to the manufacturer. They stated after the contact spoke to a manager that since there was no recall , they were not going to do anything even with an extended warranty on the vehicle. The failure mileage was 80,000. Tf.

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2012 Infiniti Qx56. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 14v683000 (air bags). The dealer indicated that they may be able to schedule the repair in mid February. When the contact attempted to schedule the repair, the parts were unavailable. The dealer may have reported to the manufacturer that the recall repair was completed, but the vehicle was not repaired. The contact had not experienced a failure.

The airbag does not work on the steering column the dealer says it's due to a cold spring on the backside of the airbag that allows electricity to go through it to make it work and once over $1000 to replace the coil- spring in order to make the airbag work which is connected to all the other safety airbags in the vehicle if the drivers airbag does not work neither does any of the other airbags in the vehicle . The throttle says thing position on the q x56 is very touching and barely laying your foot on the gas pedal jobs for especially from stop lights and stop signs upon initial acceleration this is very unsafe the dealer refuses to fix it under warranty.

While driving down the road on Sunday, July 19th, 2015. The light for the air bags started blinking out of the blue. Now every time I get in the SUV to go somewhere it stays blinking.

The vehicle was towed to the dealer but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 93,000.

Air bags do not engage when my wife sits in front seat. She weighs 100 pounds but I would think air bag system should work for an adult of this size.

I was driving in the city then suddenly the airbag passenger side turn on with flashing inter mitt then I take it to the dealer and they rest it ,after one week the air bag get on again , I am now scare to drive the SUV because I have a 3 children s and I need to help me with this problem for the safety of my children. Repeated attempts to fix airbag after several hundred dollars of owner expenses have not resolved the problem. Latest estimate is another 1200 to fix a harness that was previously undiagnosed.

The light stay lit like there is a problem when I speak with Nissan and infinity they states their is no recall.
