I have an engine light on as a result of 2 bad catalytic converters that need to be replaced. The vehicle has been inspected the infinite dealer maintenance dept. This poses a safety risk of this vehicle shutting down in the midst of driving.

I got code : p0011 (my mechanic said that timing chain has to be replaced) I saw that Infiniti run the campaign as below : dated July 15, 2016 voluntary service campaign 2011 – 2013 Qx56 and m56; timing chain campaign id #: p6305 applied vehicles: 2011-2013 Qx56 (z62) 2011-2013 m56 (y51) check service comm to confirm campaign eligibility 2011-2013 Qx56 important: the following service procedure for 2011-2013 Qx56 is an abbreviated version of the electronic service manual (esm) procedure to replace the timing chains and related components. The claims information is based on this abbreviated procedure. I called Infiniti and they said that this campaign was for limited time and we called you but I never heard or aware about this otherwise I would have got it done . I have all the service record serviced everything from Infiniti dealer and the best maintanace apart from that I get below code also which is makes me to think I did mistake buying Infiniti. The emc relay is bad. I have a letter saying it was a recall. . As I was driving the car just shut off. If you waited a little while it would start up again but it seemed that when it got hot it would shut down again. It cost me 102. 00 for tow truck and the dealership is charging me 160. 00 an hour to check what it is. They say there is no recall but I have letter in front of me.

I was driving across a bridge in town going about 40mph. Nothing was over head, driving conditions were good, weather clear and all of sudden out of no where I heard an explosion. Extremely loud, made my ears ring. I immediately thought something blew up or my car had been shot. I started hearing pieces of glass hit my sunroof cover and pulled up to find my glass had exploded and left a huge hole in my sunroof. The glass exploded from the inside out. I immediately took my vehicle to the Infiniti dealership where I purchased the car brand new. They agreed that it had exploded from the inside out and said they had seen this before. I was asked to pay $1261 to replace the glass since my car was not under warranty.

My 2012 Infiniti Qx56 needs a new timing chain and inifiniti said there was a recall but not on my particular VIN number. It seems odd that I have the year and make of the car with the exact repairs needed as the recall but they aren't covering it.
I have been complaining about my brake light warming while vehicle is in motion to infinity for 13 years to infinity of vannuys ( the only dealer that services my vehicle). Why ole this 6000 lb vehicle is motion and this safety hazard occurs, depressing the brake pedal does. It stop the vehicle promptly as the brake system should and a loud metal grinding noise is produced. I have had my vehicle toad to the dealer with the same problem on several occasions and all I am told is that there is nothing wrong with the vehicle. This occurs infrequently and over the years it has been occurring more frequently. What is more terrifying is that this is a public safety hazard that is known to NHTSA and Nissan/infinity of America and no recall has been issued or the manufacturer has not been held accountable for fixing this safety hazard. This hazard has occurred on several occasions over the life of ownership ( I am the sole owner of the vehicle). I have made Infiniti of vannuys aware of this issue and it wasn't until recently that my service advisor communicated with me if how alarmed and concerned he was with the issue as his technician was test driving the vehicle and the balearic light turned on while the vehicle was moving and making the metal grinding noise and not being able to brake as the brake system is intended to do so. I communicated with consumer affairs at Infiniti and was told by their department that they cannot do anything for me as there is no recall on my vehicle and that Nissan:Infiniti is not aware of this matter. I mentioned to the representative that I have been entertaining this concern with service advisors over 13 years and they were finally able to listen to my concerns: this is unacceptable, specially after reading about cruz v. Mathenge | no. B286067. My family's life and my own have been in jeopardy over 13 years and I need help.
1. -the dash board is unleashing by the sun. ( melting ) 2. -the paint is rising my SUV just have 70k miles it 2011 ( to day oct 03/2019).

I own a Qx56 and I brought it to the dealership because the check engine light was on I was told both of my catalytic converters have gone out. I purchased the extended warranty but the say it is not covered under my warranty. Doing a lil research on it I see plenty of people are having the same problem. This part should be recalled or at least covered under warranty. Love my truck but definitely not happy right now. Infiniti needs to do something about this situation.
Catalytic converter both sides not working (112 k miles). This is a very prevalent (and very expensive) issue in most 2011-2013 Qx56 (please see NHTSA complaints and Infiniti forum complaints). Is there a recall or will there be one?.
The air flow panel on my dash has melted and is causing air flow problems. I feel it is unsafe to run hot air in the winter to defrost the front windshield and when I do run it the flow is some what blocked.
Infiniti has never officially issued a recall but should have since all 2011-2013 Infiniti Qx56 have catalytic converter issues that need to be replaced. It is covered if you replace before 80k miles but if you do not know about it could cost you $6,000. It is an issue with all of them that Infiniti does not want to address but should recall and help customers since it is an error they made in these models which is now fixed in newer models.
Engine light came on dealer states that I need new catalytic converter on my front driver side.
In June 2017, I had the vehicle into the dealership for the power train recall. In July 2017 (87k miles), I had a 420 bank 1 cat code, and replaced one catalytic converter. In December 2017 (94k miles), the 'check engine soon' light illuminated again, and the 430 code shows the other catalytic converter (bank 2) needs to be replaced. It seems the cats on these vehicles are terrible, and once one goes out, the other fails too. This is very expensive. . . About $2,000 each in my case. This seems too common based on the reviews I've read online now. I feel like Infiniti should cover the cost of replacing at least one of the cats, but I was denied assistance.
The service engine light came on and the vehicle was checked by Infiniti service. The right side catalytic converter failed. We repaired that (about 2 weeks ago). Today, the same service engine light came on and it is the left catalytic converter. The total amount spent to repair both of the catalytic converters will be over three thousand dollars. From speaking to the mechanic and researching online, it appears that the catalytic converters failing on this vehicle is a prevalent problem. This is a very expensive issue to fix and it seems like many people are experiencing this issue. Although there may not be a large number of people reporting this issue on this site, it appears that this is an issue that many people are experiencing based on the online forums I have read.
My 2005 Qx56 losing power while I'm driving, feels like it wants to shut off, and my check engine is off.
Through my research and speaking with Infiniti mechanics there has been a known issue with timing chains and associate parts that are a hazard and a major expense to 2011-2012 infinity Qx56 owners. This issue will leave you stranded somewhere!! it happens to my wife and I three times!!! I had to get it towed all three times!! the hazard is while driving on highway the engine just loses all power leaving the hazard of someone running in back of you. If you driving up an incline and this problem comes about your vehicle will stall an you can possibly start rolling backwards. So from my research this problem has been happening to people either right before there warranty ends at 70,000 miles or right after (like me) at 74,000 miles. I called Infiniti and they refused to help me in any way. The guys at my dealership said its a hit or miss with them helping owners of the Qx56 that's over the warranty. I was already $1500 in the whole on parts they thought were the problem and now they want to charge me an estimated $3,000-4,5000 to do the rest of the work. Its a fact that Infiniti knows they have this issue and refuses to recall or help the owners. I will never purchase a Infiniti again!!! and will spread the word around about them!.
There wasn't any accidents, but if this problem doesn't get resolved there will be. This is by far the most unsafe vehicle I've ever come across! if you hit any irregular road surface or pothole your car shifts. If you are traveling at high speeds it will actually throw your car into the lane to the right. I've read several forums with the same type of complaints. I don't understand why this is still a problem I'm terrified to drive my kids in this and I'm unfortunately stuck in this vehicle because I'm upside down. This needs addressed immediately what a terrible vehicle I will never buy another!.
Heating/a/c actuators makes an annoying clicking noise. It appears to be stuck. . . And trying to close/ open. This appears to be an on going problem with Nissan/infinity trucks.

I purchased this vehicle December of 2014 and within a month I noticed condensation in both headlights. When I was driving my vehicle home one night with my 4 children the lights flickered and went out. I had to pull over and I flicked the lights on and off hoping they would turn on and they came back on and worked. Now either headlights work and to replace the assembly is $1600 each so right now I do not drive my vehicle at night. I talked to infinti and they stated there was a design flaw in the headlights and since then they have been redesigned. I have also done research online and there have been several complaints on the headlights of my vehicle. Now the other problem is when I'm driving on a bump or pothole my vehicle seems to veer off to the right and steering wheel seems to loosen up and if you are going fast you could lose control of the vehicle. Luckily I don't drive fast but notice with any pothole it veers right and I have also researched this problem and it is also a common complaint.
We turned rear a/c on and it didn"t work, but front did.
My infinity qx 56 truck brake pedal starts to vibrate and make loud spring noises, next the vehicle will begin to pulsate violently during braking and make a loud grinding noise with an extended braking response (nearly causing me to crash into traffic ahead or in front of me). The vehicle defectively turns on the abs and brake light warnings in the dashboard while using brakes to stop at stop signs, red lights, or to make turns behind other traffic. This activation is random without cause or occurrence. I am terrified to drive my infinity 2006 Qx56. I have experienced multiple near death car accidents. I have been dealing with this problem for about a year. Was told it was the brakes (changed them), was told it was the rotors (changed them), was told it was the master cylinder (changed it) with no resolve. Problems still exists. Finally, infinity admits its a malfunction in my delta senor. Malfunction to me sounds like a defective part and that is not my $1500 bullet to bite!.
Since I purchased my Qx56 2006, it has happen several times, I think approximately 40 times, I got scared at the beginning and freaked out, all my family was with me and we didn't know what to do, all I did was turn the car off and wait for a minute then I did turn the car on and the problem was gone, I'm not the only person that has this happen and hope that you guys do something about it the only big problem I think is that I'm afraid that if this happen again and I will not be able to stop my car and will cause death by hitting somebody, I had a small incident but there was no big damage and the car in front of me heard the noise but we didn't fill a report if you have any questions, you have my VIN # and you can find me I hope that Nissan does something about this.
The a/c switch that controls the rear fan speed on the front dash does not work. The internal plastic has broke and the nob just turns. The only way now to use the rear a/c is to stretch way back in the rear and turn it on. I went to test drive a newer Qx56 and that nob was also broken. I test drove another one and the rear air was continuously running. I took my 2005 Qx56 to an Infiniti dealer and they said the entire panel has to be replaced at $565. 00 even though only one nob is broken. Please help.
