general problems of the 2014 Infiniti QX60

The contact owns a 2014 Infiniti Qx60. The contact’s son stated while driving approximately 65 mph, the hood inadvertently unlatched and smashed the front windshield. The vehicle was taken to a local mechanic where it was diagnosed with needing the windshield, hood release latch, and cosmetic repairs to the quarter panels. Upon investigation, the contact associated the failure with NHTSA campaign number: 15v033000 (structure) however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and informed the contact that the VIN was not included in the recall. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.
