The contact owns a 2015 Infiniti Qx60. The contact stated that while her son was driving 70 mph, the front and rear passenger’s side seat air bag deployed inadvertently. The driver pulled the vehicle over to the side of the road and checked the vehicle. The vehicle was not struck by an object for the air bag to deploy. The driver continued driving back to the residence. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact reached out to the local dealer for the vehicle to be inspected however, an appointment was not yet scheduled. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximate 52,000.
This has broken twice since they did the recall. The red light flashes on the dash which disables the airbag. There hasn't been any other issues with the vehicle. Infiniti service tried to blame me saying that it was tampered with. This is not true, I have not touched it and this has failed multiple times with no other failures.
While driving with an adult over 100lb's in the front passenger seat the air bag off light will turn on. It seams to be classifying adult passengers as children and turning the air bag off incorrectly.

Because I bought the car used in June of this year, around July, the driver's and passenger's side airbag warning lights on the display panel started flashing, then disappeared after a few days. After August, they kept flashing and then stopped altogether. I took it to an Infiniti dealership for inspection, and the mechanic reported that the airbag sensors were malfunctioning and there was no connection between the airbags and the computer system platform, and that other problems might even be discovered during the repair process. This result seriously affects my driving safety, and I believe it's a quality issue with the car's performance, not a problem caused by driving a used car.
