Power Train problem #1

At the end of xxx I noticed that my 2019 Infiniti Qx60 was starting to jerk when I accelerated. At first it was an intermittent jerking but on or about xxx it was happening more often. I took my vehicle in that day to get the oil changed and mentioned the problem to the manager at the shop. When the mechanic did a scanned diagnostic test on it he said it was a fuel pump problem and he recommended I get the fuel pump replaced. The shop completed the fuel pump replacement on xxx but when I picked up the vehicle it was still jerking. I called the shop when I got home and conveyed that the problem still existed. I took the vehicle back to the shop on xxx and after sharing this information with the manager and mechanic: [xxx] the manager called me back later in the day and said the error codes from the youtube video I shared with them surprisingly show up on the next diagnostic scan! I picked up my vehicle that afternoon but couldn’t speak to either one of them because they left before I arrived. They asked me to wait an hour before picking up the vehicle so “the fluid could thicken up”! I have since emailed the manager about them guaranteeing their work because they misdiagnosed the problem. I paid approximately $1125 to replace the fuel pump and my cvt transmission went out when I was driving home after picking up the vehicle on xxx. I have about 142k+ miles on the vehicle. I get my oil changed when directed but have dealt with an oil leak in the past and had an electrical problem about six months ago. Power Train problem #2

Cvt transmission failing, started @ 113000 miles, trying to work with Infiniti consumer affairs, they have required me to bring the car into their shop for diag. When I purchased the vehicle 2/26/2022, include with the car was an extended warranty for 6 years unlimited miles. They dated the contract back to the manufacturer date in 1/31/2019 and expired on 1/31/2025. I’ve opened a case with Infiniti USA case# 56866430. I feel they have never fixed their cvt transmission issue and it causing consumer undue cost and stress.

Power Train problem #3

Vehicle shudders on acceleration. 2013-2018 vehicles were recalled. 2019 is doing the same thing.

Power Train problem #4

My 2019 Infiniti Qx60 (VIN [xxx] ) experienced a sudden transmission failure at 99,995 miles. The vehicle would no longer shift into gear and became undriveable. The dealer found diagnostic code p2813 – pressure control solenoid g, indicating internal transmission failure. The repair estimate is $8,369. 87. This appears to be part of a known pattern of cvt failures affecting Infiniti/Nissan vehicles, including the Qx60. Earlier models (2015–2018) had warranty extensions for similar cvt defects. This failure occurred without warning and poses a major safety hazard, as the vehicle could not accelerate or be driven. My wife was pulling out of the parking area after picking up my [xxx] and as soon as she pulled out and shifted it to drive it would not. Ended up with a vehicle almost hitting them, which was a close call. After shifting it back-and-forth it finally went into gear and took it straight to the service center. The service center even said that they had to tow it into the garage because it would not go into gear any longer. I am requesting NHTSA investigate whether this transmission defect affects 2019 and later Qx60 models and whether a recall or manufacturer remedy is warranted. Power Train problem #5

Differential failed and leaking fluid - premature failure. Yes, part will be available, and repair diagnosed by kendall inifiniti of nampa dealership. In process of review by manufacturer district area manager. No warning, no messages, no smells, nada - took auto in for scheduled 60,000 mile service at dealer and provided $4,100 estimate for repair - see attached. Vehicle previously serviced in Feb 2025 at same dealership and drivetrain was reported good without any mention of leak or seal failure. Service rep believes this failed months ago.

Power Train problem #6

The rear right differential side seal failed under 40k miles and car was out of manufacturer warranty and I had to pay to get the seal and bearing replaced. I cannot believe a seal and bearing need to be rep[laced withing 40k miles. I had to replace a seal on the transfer case last year when the car was still under manufacturer's warranty. My guess is that poor quality of the seals/bearings or improper installation procedures could have led to these early failures and surely warrants an investigation.

Power Train problem #7

Transfer case leaking. Resealing of transfer case was performed under warranty. The vehicle was under warranty and had only 33,000 miles. It was rather alarming that such transmission/power train issues showed up at such low mileage.

Power Train problem #8

Transmission failure. The cvt transmission did not engage in gear while driving (on the highway!) I was able to drive in "limp mode" to reputable mechanic in the area. The mechanic flushed the cvt fluid, changed the filters and checked all the electronic codes, but the problem persists. The vehicle will require a new transmission or a rebuild.

Power Train problem #9

When a person leans on the door and at least 200lbs of pressure is applied to the driver's door, in drive, the door will open and all the locks in the car will release.

Power Train problem #10

Multiple occasions more than I can count loss of power at acceleration then it kangaroos and takes off. No codes multiple trips to the dealer still no codes. The dealer has another vehicle doing the same thing. Seems to be much worse the hotter the weather. It has scared me several times because there has been solution found because no engine codes.

Power Train problem #11

The contact owns a 2019 Infiniti Qx60. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, there was a knocking sound coming from the vehicle while accelerating and the vehicle shuddered. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed with code p17f1 for continuously variable transmission (cvt) failure. The dealer informed the contact that the cvt needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired and remained at the dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to file a complaint with NHTSA. The failure mileage was approximately 119,000.
