Pulling onto 55mph road from a stop, the car began to accelerate then lagged(felt like a pause/stall in acceleration) and then overcompensated with rapid acceleration. This has happened multiple times. The vehicle has also gotten stuck in a low gear when accelerating in auto mode. Took the car to the dealership expressing safety concern of unreliable acceleration and they couldn’t replicate the issue.
While driving on highway vehicle completely shut down . Barely giving time to pull over to the shoulder. The car required a tow. After inspection it was determined the fuel pump needed to be replaced with 12,287 miles on the vehicle.
