6 Air Bag problem of the 2017 Infiniti QX60

Failure Date: 05/07/2024

The passenger airbag warning light on my 2017 Qx60 awd began flashing non-stop, indicating that the airbag was not working properly. After bringing it to the Infiniti dealer, the stated that the odb code b00a0 was showing up, which is for the occupant classification system (OCS) for the passenger airbag. In order to fix this, they need to replace both OCS seat sensors, as well as the OCS module, at a cost of $1,600. Until this repair is made, the passenger airbag will not work in a collision. This is the same issue that has plagued various Infiniti models in prior years, including the Qx60 (2014-16) which were included in a recall (NHTSA# 16v-244). It is obvious that the issue also exists in the 2017 models, and the recall should be expanded to include this year as well.

8 Air Bag problem of the 2014 Infiniti QX60

Failure Date: 03/18/2024

I have an Infiniti Qx60 that has a hairbag malfunctioning for a long time now. I've taken it to be serviced by Infiniti many times. However, they could never fix it. At one point, I decided to leave it alone until the last time I took the car in to be serviced. The person who was helping me noticed that I had two children car seats in the car, so he decided to tell me that this car isn't safe to be driving with young children in it. Don't know what to do since the warranties have expired. Plus, they couldn't fix it when I had warranties on the car. I'm afraid that my family is at risk driving this car. I would love to stop driving this car before something terrible happens to my children. However, it is our only means of getting around right now.

9 Air Bag problem of the 2017 Infiniti QX60

Failure Date: 03/01/2024

Air bag lamp is flashing - took it to dealer to diagnose and advise. They found that dtc b0020-13 for side airbag module left hand, per esm first step is to check harness - verified harness isn't disconnected or obvious damage to harness per Infiniti esm srs system diagnosis. Was advised no procedure for voltage check or continuity - Infiniti asks to replace parts step by step. Was advised the following - recommend starting repairs with first replacing side airbag module left hand side. If that doesn't correct Infiniti asks to replace airbag diagnostic sensor unit and if not all related harness.

10 Air Bag problem of the 2020 Infiniti QX60

Failure Date: 11/16/2023

I was involved in a multi-car accident on 11/16/23 wile traveling on the 485 beltway around charlotte, nc. It was approximately 6 pm, and completely dark. The traffic was very heavy and traveling at 70 mph ( the speed limit) when a car in front of me was stopped. My 2020 infinity Qx60 did not alert me of a potential frontal collision, nor did the car begin braking. I slammed on the brakes, but was unable to keep from hitting the car in front of me. I was then hit in my rear by the car in back of me. None of my airbags went off!!! that is inconceivable since my front end collided with the car in front of me and the car behind me hit my car's rear end. I have a badly bruised sternum and am in a great deal of pain. It hurts all of the time, and is excruciating when I move. The safety systems failed. I'm very fortunate that I wasn't more badly injured. My SUV was towed to larry campbell's towing storage yard, which is located at 7327 old statesville rd. In charlotte, nc. 28269. ( all 3 cars involved in the accident were towed). The nc highway patrol responded to the accident and a report was written. The local report number is 231116167ha.

12 Air Bag problem of the 2016 Infiniti QX60

Failure Date: 08/01/2023

Air bag light began blinking notifying me of an issue. The vehicle is available for an inspection. I took car to dealer for diagnostic check. The dealer informed me that it is the drivers side airbag causing the issue. This is a safety component of the vehicle and puts the driver and all occupants at risk should their be an airbag failure in an accident. Issue has been through a diagnostic check by the dealer and confirmed. They recommended 1) that I replace the seatback which is a costly repair. In their words, "we have seen this occur in several Infiniti models and recommended that I contact the Infiniti consumer affairs office as it is not under any recalls. Seatbelts are covered under the lifetime warranty of the vehicle but not the airbags. " car has had the warning lamp display for approximately 30 days now. It began end of July/early August. The vehicle has approximately 115k miles and has never been in an accident.

To whom this may concern. My vehicle middle console is completely out. My radio no longer powers on. The a/c runs continuously however I’m unable to control any functions including my defrosts. Therefore as the weather is getting colder I’m not able to activate the defrost so my front window fogs up clearing my view I’m able to utilize my wipers wisely.
