To whom it may concern, I am submitting this letter to formally report a safety-related defect involving my leased Infiniti vehicle, serviced at edison Infiniti in new jersey on August 1, 2025. Despite reporting excessive tire wear and a persistent pull to the right, the dealership concluded that the alignment was within factory specifications and attributed the damage solely to a lack of tire rotation. Based on this assessment, I paid out of pocket for a wheel alignment and replacement tires. However, the condition of the removed front tires tells a different story. The tires show extreme treadwear down to the internal cords, a clear indication of prolonged misalignment or defective suspension geometry. This level of degradation is not consistent with normal wear and tear on a vehicle with fewer than 17,000 miles. It compromised steering control and posed a serious safety risk, making it difficult to maintain lane position and safe handling. I believe this issue may reflect a broader defect in alignment or suspension geometry that could affect other vehicles of the same make and model. I have attempted resolution through the dealership and Infiniti consumer affairs without success. I respectfully request that NHTSA investigate this issue as a potential safety defect and advise on next steps.

A mechanic says it is pcm failure. I have owned the car for 18 months. Shortly after buying it, it started doing this thing where it loses power for just a second or two. Cruise control and proximity sensors kick off, steering wheel locks and/or power steering turns off, all interior components turn off. Usually everything comes right back on, and I can reset the cruise control. Lately it has been more frequent, and things don't go back to normal. It sometimes causes the vehicle to stall and not start as well. Today even once things are back "on", I can't control the ac fan, radio volume, etc. Bluetooth shows connected to the car on my phone but isn't playing through the vehicle speakers. I don't undersrand how this could not be a recall when it poses a major safety risk to suddenly lose power and be unable to steer the vehicle! this has been happening since Feb 2024, so I'll just put the original date. Sometimes it happens 15 times in a day and the vehicle is more or less not drivable. Other times I'll go a month or so with no glitches.

I purchased a new 2023 infinity Qx60 in Nov. Of 2022. I had the vehicle for less than 2 months when the dashboard lit up with a shifter warning/malfunction while driving my kids to school on 2-8-23. I pulled over and stopped the vehicle to see what was going on. A shifter malfunction warning displayed. I was able to put the car in park but unable to put the shifter back in drive. After numerous tries, the vehicle shifted into drive after restarting the car. Was able to drive the vehicle straight to my local infinity dealership. I arrived prior to 7:30am and was promptly assisted. The car received a malfunction code and was shuttled home by the dealership while further diagnostics occurred. The dealership called to let me know the shifter malfunctioned and it wasn’t covered under the manufacturer warranty due to visible coffee residue. The car wasn’t safe to drive so I had no choice but to pay for the repair. The dealership had the shuttle service pick me up at my house and bring me back to the dealership in order to put me in a loaner vehicle while servicing. I was required to pay for the part so it could be ordered. The total cost was $748. 80 for the part “new shifter”/labor. The shifter was on the desk but I was told the coffee residue was cleaned off of it. I picked my car back up on 2/13. I had a major incident that occurred on the vehicle on 2/15 that I just submitted for review. The car had a safety malfunction sensing a head on collision that forcefully stopped the car while I was driving around 40-50 mph.

Vehicle purchased oct 23, 2021. Same day of purchase the vehicle displayed steering issues and acceleration issues. Vehicle difficult to steer and accelerate or push the pedal to make the vehicle go forward which has caused pain and stress to my arm and leg. Returned vehicle back to dealer next business day and the service center denies any mechanical issue with vehicle upon their alleged vehicle diagnoatic although the service man agreed and confessed to both myslef and the salesman that the vehicle has an issue that is not showing on the diagnoatic based on the service guy driving the vehicle himself. The dealerahip refuses to acknowledge that they sold me a defective 2018 Infiniti Qx60 with 22,000 miles that feels to have transmission malfunction and steering malfunction. Vehicle sold to me faulty as a lemon and I a feel useless with a vehicle unsafe and uncomfortable to drive on the road.
Electrical coupling faulty and cause the car to shudder and jerk. I took it to priority infinity greenbrier it is a know issue. These coupling should last on these vehicles. Component has not been inspected by manufacture. No warning notice at all.
