While driving at 35/50mph steering wheel will shimmy. Contacted dealer. Had vehicle serviced 6 times, cannot fix problem.
Tl-the contact owns a 2002 Jaguar S-type. The contact stated that when the ignition was turned to the on position, it was difficult for the vehicle to shift out of the park position. After the vehicle was shifted into the drive position there was a loud noise coming from the front of the vehicle. The contact stated that when the vehicle was filled with fuel, there was a strong odor of fuel. The failures recurred continuously. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the fuel system, lower ball joints and transmission failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that the VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 06e056000 (fuel system, gasoline). The failure mileage was approximately unknown. The VIN was unavailable. Sg.
