3 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 06/18/2013

I pulled up to stop at a resturant curb and stopped the vehicle. The engine suppenly raced to approx 6000-6500 rpm. I was able to keep my foot firmly on the brake, shift the transmission into park, and turn the engine off. When I re-started the engine everything was fine. I did' not think too much of this, outside of scaring the hell out of me, as I thought my foot might have slipped off the brake and on to the accelerator. About one week it happened again as I was pulling up to a stop behind a vehicle the engine started racing again. Again I was able to sop, within 2 feet, of the vehicle in front om me. The vehicle is now at the jagurar dealership, markel, in omaha, ne. Jaguar cars in new jersey (audrey) just informed me that it is a transmission problem and Jaguar would not accept responsibility for a possible safety defect. They offered to repair it for $7,500. I believe this is a potential safety issue and will not drive it until it is repaired. Jaguar apparently does not agree with assesment and refuses to take responsibility for the defect.

4 Power Train problem

At 11 miles a small noise was there. I look at tires & saw nothing. After road trip told service tech and salesman. Was told rock in tire, at 53 mile noise came back. Called salesman, and general manager was told to bring it in to shop Monday. Paint has scratches threw out car paint.
