Tl-the contact owns a 2005 Jaguar stype. The contact stated that a strong fuel odor emitted and the check engine light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an indipendent mechanic whom inspected the vehicle and found that the exhaust system was leaking in three areas. The contact also found that when the fuel tank was filled to capacity the fuel leaked to the ground. The local dealership was contacted and they advised that the vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign number 06v418000 (fuel system, gasoline). The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 83,000. Li.
