Seat belt on drivers side did not protect driver of 2006 Jaguar s type when rear ended by pick up truck on July 30,2010. Result of accident cause head to hit sunvisor and steering wheel causing head and chest injury. The front passengers seat belt did keep passenger secure only resulting in whip lash.

The contact owns a 2001 Jaguar S-type. The contact stated the vehicle rolled backwards while in park and the transmission was replaced twice. The vehicle was taken back to the transmission mechanic who performed a diagnostic test which located the failure within the transmission cable. The contact also stated that the rear seats and seat belt buckle were defective. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 98,000 and the current mileage was 150,000.
