The contact owns continental contitrac low profile tires, size p245/40/r18 on a 2008 Jaguar S-type. The contact stated that during a routine inspection the technician concluded that the tires had blisters on the sidewall; therefore, it failed the state inspection. The manufacturer was notified. The dot and the vehicle identification number were unavailable. The tires have not been replaced. The failure and current mileages were 17,000.

While crossing the betsy ross bridge right rear tire deflated. Inspection revealed sidewall had ruptured, replaced tire. Event occurred oct. 15th. No damage was visible to thread surface. While driving home from work at midnight hit a pot hole and left front tire deflated within a mile. Sidewall damaged, has to be replaced. This occurred today Nov. 2nd. Tire size 245/40r18 93h . The car is a 2005 s type. Noted, tire has a single side wall and is crap. Have only owned the car for 40 days.

Side wall has a slit and a bulge in the side wall. This was caught before a failure. They tried to tell me that it was from a road hazard and not a defect. I don't believe a word of it.

2003 Jaguar 4. 2 r equipped with continenal tires 275/35/zr18 April 2, 2003 right rear blow out 50mph at 3550 miles. Dealer stated road hazard June 25, 2003. Left front blow out at 70 mph ,7000 miles. Dealer states road hazard. Both blowouts were on sidewall below tread. Tires appears to fail under speed.

Consumer experienced a tire blow, the tire side walls crumbled, consumer has since experienced two more tire failure the front passenger and back passenger tires, all three tires had side wall come apart. ( pirelli p-zone/ 235/50 zr17 96w).
