My Jaguar X-type 2004 car when traveling at about 25-30 mph alternately gets sluggish and slows or revs up, causing me to apply brakes hard to prevent collisions. I have to allow enormous space between me and the vehicle ahead because I am afraid of colliding with vehicles in front. Also have to brake hard to to overcome the surging forth of the engine. The car will also rev up when I am parking it. These are such common occurrences, and it seems to be a manufacturing malfunction. Jaguar should recall all 2004 X-types to fix these dangerous and potentially life threatening machines. I request that the NHTSA immediately follow up and require recall of these road hazards.
