Tl- the contact owns a 2004 Jaguar X-type. While driving at 55 mph the contact heard a popping sound in the steering wheel and noticed the steering pulled to the right with no control. The contact merged to the side of the road. The manufacturer was contacted and a compliant was filed. The vehicle was towed to the dealer for diagnostic testing and stated the steering column had detached from the vehicle.
