Tl the contact owns a 2014 Jaguar Xf. When the vehicle was started, the service warning indicator illuminated. An independent mechanic came to the contact's residence to diagnose the vehicle and located a code for the fuel sensor. The mechanic stated that the fuel filler pipe and fuel cap needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer and was not repaired. In addition, when fueling the vehicle at a fuel station, the pump would constantly click off. The contact was unable to fill up the tank. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and advised the contact to take the vehicle to a Jaguar dealer. The dealer was not contacted. The approximate failure mileage was 37,000.
