Turbocharger malfunction on vehicle at 35,000 miles.
There was a fuel leak caused by a wire containing a hole in the front of the vehicle causing the car to smell like gasoline when sitting inside. Possibly, caused by the top of the car rubbing against the wire, due to insufficient clearance. Service advisor mentioned that this was not due to the owner/driver's fault and it makes the car unsafe to drive due to possibility of a fire. There have been a few recalls by Jaguar concerning this exact issue, but Jaguar says my car is not included simply because my VIN does not match.
Takata recall. The contact owns a 2015 Jaguar Xf. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 16v796000 (fuel system, gasoline); however, the parts to do the repair were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
