Dynamic mode alert locked up several times and panel was unresponsive intermittently and rear passenger footwell filled with water. . Cause is described by Jaguar dealer as rear window leak that passes through rear tail lamp and floods under the spare destroying the pcm module. I was driving my 2012 Jaguar Xf on highway 75 my car began to go from drive to neutral and changing gears on his own and I almost got hit by a semi-truck with the vehicle slowing down eventually I made it home with the vehicle and put it in park and never came out park again, the gear box had locked up that I was told by a local Jaguar repair shop. I could have lost my life that day with that car doing this and someone else can lose their life if this happen to them if you all don't make Jaguar fixed this problem, if it already hasn't happen to someone. I reported this problem to Jaguar today and they sound like they weren't interested in what I was telling them. They said they would open and case and they will close it. Do that make sense to you to open a case and close it?.

5 Equipment problem of the 2010 Jaguar XF

Failure Date: 10/13/2020

1. Speed control (motion): cruise control continually shuts off while traveling at highway speeds and hits road patches/bumps. This has happened since I purchased the car new; 2. Leather on dashboard (stationary & motion): car is garaged in NY, meticulously maintained and used occasionally, yet the leather on the dashboard warped/rippled -- not a good look for a Jaguar; recently, I spent almost $ 1,000 for windshield had to be removed/replaced to repair. Now looks worn, though signs of wear remain; 3. Usb & communication components in middle dash dept (stationary and motion): these systems failed few weeks after warranty expired. In these days, very important to be able to use, but Jaguar dealer said very expensive to repair. 4. Sunroof gasket (stationary & motion): gasket started failing few years ago, but finally reached extent requiring replacement. My professional upholstery repair provider reported the repair required an entire sunroof system replacement ($1,000), which is very non-sensible. They installed incorrectly and now sunroof will not close while driving, but rather emits loud "fluttering" sound and shakes the vehicle; 5. Windows (motion): as you are aware I'm sure, opening partial rear windows induces violent shaking throughout vehicle. This issue present in original design of vehicle. 6. Running lights (motion): this vehicle was designed with no running lights, so I tried to find garage to install, for safety reasons. Jaguar service repair providers and others said vehicle design prohibits ability to install running lights. 7. Horn (stationary and motion): I'm simply pointing to fact that this beautiful car roars like a lion, yet has wimpy horn sound!.

10 Equipment problem of the 2013 Jaguar XF

Failure Date: 07/15/2019

Jaguar statement: my 2013 Jaguar Xf was under warranty until September 2018. I took it in for service and water coolant leak; while driving out of my garage down my street the coolant warning light came on so I park it and had it towed to my local Jaguar dealership to be looked at. It was serviced and the leak repaired; as I was told August 8, 2018 40,000 miles. July 2019 same problem (at 46,000 miles) resurfaced and damage my engine. I was driving on the highway 820 and my warning coolant light came on the hood of the car stated to smoke; by time I was able to pull over safely the car shutdown. I thought it was just safe feature; turns out the coolant leak in to my engine and damage it beyond repair. The coolant replacement and parts was still under warranty. August 28, 2019. The dealership stated that Jaguar corporate denied my claim. However, as I was told by the rep jose fernandez. In addition jose, stated that park place Jaguar grapevine, TX dealership will look into what that can do on their end since the problem previously existed under the factory warranty and the second incident covering the water coolant was still under warranty. August 29, 2019; the rep reported that my claim was also denied at the dealership level. I've pull up various forum in which Jaguar corporate is and has been a ware of this issues with the water coolant failure and dripping into the engine chamber for several years from 2009 to the present. I'm contacting your organization because. . I don't trust Jaguar/the dealership to stand by its product. There's no way a $60,000- $70,000 car should breakdown at 46,000 miles. I was collect all documentation and send to your organization per request. I thank you.

Tl- the contact called on behalf of a client who owned a 2014 Jaguar Xf. The contact stated that while stopped at a red light, the vehicle caught on fire as the driver was still in the vehicle. The driver remained at the hospital where it was confirmed that they sustained 30% of bodily burns and passed away the following day. The police department was present but it was unknown if a report was filed. The vehicle was taken via flatbed to an independent facility. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The vehicle was destroyed. An inspector was to inspect the vehicle on August 23, 2019 to determine the origin of the fire. My car is leaking fuel on ground. I was passing someone and noticed my car was reading on the dash losing performance. The mechanic saying exactly what the recall is saying but my VIN doesn't fall under the recall. Also my dashboard is coming up.

13 Equipment problem of the 2013 Jaguar XF

Failure Date: 09/13/2018

I have a big issue with my dashboard starting to come apart because of the adhesive Jaguar used to hold down the leather is not hold. How many complaints need to be documented before Jaguar address the issue. I have researched and found that Jaguar is using staples on the replacement dashboards to keep this from occurring but what about my car?.

16 Equipment problem of the 2013 Jaguar XF

My jag Xf 2013 dash is being torn away and separating. It is annoying to me that Jaguar refuses to admit using subpar materials.

17 Equipment problem of the 2009 Jaguar XF

Failure Date: 12/13/2017

2009 Jaguar Xf supercharged dashboard glare & visibility obstruction the leather dashboard on my 2009 Jaguar Xf supercharged has begun to separate, ripple, & bubble. Resulting in a serious safety issue as the rippling (looks similar to waves) causes the sun to reflect / glare directly to the windshield & into the operators eyes. The result, under certain circumstance (high noon, very sunny days, dusk/dawn), is complete vision impairment. The problem stems from a defective glue / bonding agent applied during the manufacturing process. Once separation begins it progresses and spreads like cancer. The unacceptable repair estimate provided by Jaguar, $3,500. 00 to $4,500. 00, to replace the entire dash. Unnecessary as the defect is the bonding agent, not the hardware. Jaguar & official oem forums suggest a. . . "cost effective alternative. " the remedy via third parties: remove the dashboard, separate the leather, clean, apply a new bonding agent, cure, and reinstall. Because the dashboard is no longer flat, on sunny days & especially at dusk and dawn, the large bubbles & waves cause light to reflect directly to the windshield & the operators eyes. The resulting reflection / glare renders the vehicle completely unsafe to operate during the previously mentioned conditions. Safety is important & Jaguar should address this issue via recall & not leave the costly remedy for this known defect to the consumer & potentially unqualified third party repair facilities. This known problem effects a majority of 2009-2011 Xf models. Jaguar acknowledge the issue as early 2009. Yet continued to use a manufacturing process known to be defective. The known defect can cause temporary blindness while operating the vehicle. The consequences of driving while blind are obvious. Jaguar, should be required to remedy the defect.

18 Equipment problem of the 2009 Jaguar XF

Failure Date: 07/27/2017

The dashboard of my car is starting to wave up and buckle when the sunlight hits the wavy area it reflect sun into my eyes almost causing me to crash.

19 Equipment problem of the 2012 Jaguar XF

Failure Date: 05/26/2017

Left front brake line failure at midline. Leaked so bad the entire brake fuild reservoir emptied after 2 brake pushes. I am so lucky I just stopped for gas and wasn't driving on my trip down the highway. The car is only 5 years old and 79xxx miles. There must be design or manufacture issue with these brake lines. My car is checked by the dealer per Jaguar schedule.

20 Equipment problem of the 2010 Jaguar XF

Failure Date: 05/06/2017

My vehicle has less than 59k miles and the check engine light is on. I was told the car is running too cool. There is an issue with the coolant system, fuel system etc. The car drives fine however, the dealership needs to replace hoses, housings, etc. To the tune of $1382 I have never heard of a car running too cool. . This is a manufacturing issue. Also, the headliner attached to the sunroof has falled due to heat and I understand this is a common problem with these Jaguars.

21 Equipment problem of the 2013 Jaguar XF

Failure Date: 02/10/2017

My vehicle rolled back about 3 feet while it was idling in my driveway.

22 Equipment problem of the 2013 Jaguar XF

Failure Date: 11/28/2016

Takata recall I have a 2013 Jaguar Xf 3. 0 that began running a little rough around 30,000 miles in 2016. The check engine light came on and when I took it back to the retailer they said there was nothing wrong "possibly a loose gas cap. " a few week later, towards the end of 2016 and less than 40,000 miles on the vehicle the check engine light came on again, but this time the car started to smoke and overheat, so I pulled off to the side of the highway, into a parking lot as quickly as I could. The coolant had been leaking and was dangerously low. I added coolant as per the Jaguar handbook instruction and about an hour later tried to get back on the road. The car ran fine for a few miles, but once I started to accelerate into the 50-60 mph range onto the highway again a few miles down the road, the same thing happened. It started to overheat and smoke terribly. I pulled over to the shoulder as quickly as safely possible and notified Jaguar roadside assistance in order to have the car towed back to the dealerships service department to be worked on. The dealership ended up replacing the engine. I insisted that I was not comfortable with this car anymore and wanted an extended bumper to bumper warranty. I was assured that they had practically "replaced everything under the hood and it would run like a brand new car. " this was 8 months ago. The car has since been in the shop for 3 additional months on 10+ different occasions. The car is not safe to drive, it breaks down when starting or sometimes even when on the highway and is very dangerous. Ive had quite a few close calls. This car is dangerous and the dealership either cannot fix it or wants to keep putting band aides on it until my warranty is out then its not their problem anymore. I have lost my job due to the unreliability of this lemon vehicle and the service department in fort myers Jaguar.

23 Equipment problem of the 2009 Jaguar XF

Failure Date: 08/19/2016

I was notified by my dad that picked up my car from the yard that he heard rattling when he saw my vehicle. Before I shipped my car it wasn't making any rattling noises. I'm not sure what's going on because I wasn't there to see anything but he end up towing the car because he didn't want to drive the car running with a rattling sound. It was stationary but already running when he first approached it and noticed the rattling. How can this case be resolve?.

24 Equipment problem of the 2010 Jaguar XF

Failure Date: 08/10/2016

Gas leaking onto ground.

25 Equipment problem of the 2011 Jaguar XF

Failure Date: 07/01/2016

Safety issue due to defective dashboard. These cars has a defect with the dashboard. I purchase the care in Jan of this year and it was in supreme condition as the previous owner kept it in her garage. I do not have a garage, so when the temp reach over 100 degrees the dashboard started to melt, pulling away from the speakers and dwindshield. Needless to say it is ugly and Jaguar will not take responsibility for their product and that it was improperly installed. The safety issue with this is, I keep taking my eyes off the road because the glare of the windshield draws my attention to the dashboard as I drive. I have seen on line that many consumers are having this issue and Jaguar will not recall it because they cost about $6000 the hqs wants to give me $1600 towards replacing, and I am telling them no. . . . . Why should I go behind Jaguar and fix their defective part? its not acceptable by any means. Someone needs to look into this and I just pray I don't have an accident due to this issue. In addition, the dealership sells a third party warranty that is suppose to cover sun uv ray damages to the interior of the vehicle and they said it is a defect by Jaguar manufacturer---so they won't get stuck with the bill. The insurance company agrees and will not cover the damages as a comprehensive loss. No one wants to take the responsibility and is passing it on to the consumer who is not at fault. Additional information is attached as you requested.

33 Equipment problem of the 2009 Jaguar XF

Failure Date: 05/01/2016

Bubbling dashboard: this issue happen in the summer of 2016. Its unfair that the maker of Jaguar will not stand by this growing issue with their dashboard problem. I was told by the dealership, that they will not repair the dash (cost $4,000) and the Jaguar maker will not place this problem as a recall issue. When I'm not driving my Jaguar, its parked in the garage. I would like the maker of Jaguar, take responsibility of this problem and repair this problem to all Jaguar owners dashboards .

35 Equipment problem of the 2009 Jaguar XF

Failure Date: 07/04/2015

Takata recall is the front airbag module which has had a recall for several months now and I'm afraid to drive my car because of that especially with my dashboard pulling apart. I had previously sent a complaint in about my dashboard but never heard anything back from NHTSA. Since I contacted you the first time my dashboard has gotten worse and I'm paying every month for a car I can't drive. Jaguar Land Rover used faulty adhesive on their dashboards causing a major issue for Jaguar owners and expecting us to pay thousands of dollars for an unsafe car that they put on the road. I would like to have my recall done ASAP along with my dashboard. Jaguar is the cause of all of this and as soon as something happens they will have a serious lawsuit on their hands. The leather on my dashboard is bubbling up in the middle near the speaker and the leather is pulling apart from the dashboard to where you can see the actual dash it self. Please help me I'm a disabled, full time college student who doesn't have a lot of money and can't afford to be ripped off anymore by Jaguar USA. If pictures are needed please let me know thanks so much.
