The contact owns a 2010 Jaguar Xf equipped with lionhart tires, tire line: lionclaw, tire size: 245/35/zr20, dot number: not available. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 80-84 mph, the passenger's side rear tire had a blowout, causing the passenger side rear rim to crack. Additionally, the passenger's side front rim was cracked. There was no impact to the passenger's side front rim that could have caused it to crack. The contact was able to pull over and replace the passenger's side rear tire with a spare tire. The dealer was not made aware of the failure. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was not available. VIN not available.
I purchased a set of 4 new tires. Following installation, about 2,000 miles into their use, 3 of the 4 tires had the tread separate from the internal belts causing the vehicle to vibrate, pull to one side and ultimately would have led to a complete tire failure. Neither the seller nor the manufacturer took any action to inspect, replace or refund the tires or their purchase price. The fact is that these tires were/are defective and could have resulted in serious injury to me, my family and others when they would have abruptly failed during driving.
