Steering Problems of Jaguar XF

My car pulls to the right very hard where I have to hold the steering wheel with both hands. It also pulls to the left very hard and again I have to hold the steering wheel with both hands. It's not out of line. It feels as though its in the power steering which I am a bit concerned. I think it's dangerous to drive. I tried to make an appointment with Jaguar dealership service and can't get in until the latter part of next week plus they don't have a loaner which I need. Its a new car (2022) so I feel we should not be having these problems.

I was driving at a high speed. 65 mph and went to accelerate to pass another vehicle and when I pushed the gas there was no power, the steering wheel locked up and I went off the side of the barley missing the ditch and then stopped. The I tried to restart it and the check engine light came of and after a couple attempts I had to have it towed to Jaguar of tacoma. My car is a 2024 with only 46000 miles on it. This shouldn’t be happening. I have to other vehicle to drive. I commute for work so I need a reliable car, which I did my research and thought this was one.

Loud popping noise followed by low coolant message flashing and white smoke vehicle lost power and steering became difficult while driving until vehicle refused to go as I tried to pull into a gas station the vehicle became disabled, and caused a single vehicle crash, and the bumper and driver head light which I just paid to repair is no good as a result, and police had to use their patrol cars in order to push me out of the middle of a busy intersection (took about 15 mins for response) had to wait 5and a half hours to have the vehicle towed home, vehicle does not re start. Vehicle had 7 recalls previously repaired including Jaguar cac hose repairation. Vehicle does not currently fall under recall due to previous repair. The repair for this recall issued back in 2014 failed. Jaguar dealership unhelp ful. Car has been parked over a month and a half now. Havent had a vehicle since. Under the hood you can visibly see a hose that is supposed to attach to something that is not attached. Cannot visibly see where it is supposedly supposed to attach to.

My vehicle has about 68k miles, I have always serviced the vehicle properly. While driving the car my steering locked up and my vehicle lost all power on a busy road with my children in the car. Luckily we are safe but this is very dangerous. I have had the car inspected by several certified and insured mechanics and the engine pulley broke off of my engine block causing my entire engine and steering to shut down. Every mechanic says this is not normal and should not have happened at this mileage or without a huge impact and they all agree it is a safety hazard especially since the car gave no waring of engine needing to be serviced.

I was pulling onto my street and my steering wheel locked. The car was still running and the message said battery not charging. I had never experienced this. I panicked and powered the car off in the middle of the street. I turned it back it I could move forward but the steering wheel was locked. I got the car towed. 3 times because only Jaguar can fix the problem. It’s the crankshaft pulley. My issue is my car is a 2015. There was a recall on this part March 2016. It was fixed by the dealership June 2016. I purchased the car January 2017. How is it that this part has gone bad so fast. Also with this part being able to break down out of no where why isn’t some kind of dashboard warning? there was no warning sound no lights or anything. Thank god I made it off the freeway. If this was a know issue in 2016 why not create a warning other than “battery not charging”? now I face a $2000 repair and could have had a serious accident being broke down in the middle of traffic out of no where.

I was driving near fm 1960, my steering was very stiff and the car turned off while driving. I had it towed across town to my moms house which was closer than my home. The car has been towed to Jaguar where they have stated this malfunction is not recall related. They were rude and non helpful. We believe this malfunction is ibdeed recall related.

Car stalled while driving in a straight line, vehicle was still in motion when engine stopped without any warning lights (sudden and total loss of power). Steering control was limited when engine shutoff and brake pedal also required much more pressure than normal to bring car to stop. Issue happened while taking off from school parking lot, so no accidents were caused, but it would have been a very likely cause for an accident on a busy freeway. Car did not start back up and had to be towed back to repair shop.

The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the technician was unable to determine the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 3,300.

Hello I just bought a car recently and it is a 2010 Jaguar Xf built in June 2009. As I drove it off the lot I had a problem with the car and realized recently that it is a power steering problem. I searched online for any recalls and there was a recall for any vehicles made in June 2009 and my car was made in June 2009. It does not say in the Jaguar system that my specific vehicle was recalled. However I feel that my vehicle should have been recalled as it was something that may have been missed. I find it very coincidental that my vehicle is having an exact same problem as the one that was recalled and the recall date is for the date that my vehicle was built. I haven't driven the vehicle since I bought it because it is a safety issue and I will be towing it into a dealership shop tomorrow. And regardless of if it is a major problem or a minor problem, its a same problem as the ones that were recalled. It said possibilities of not getting this fixed is fire under the hood and I definitely don't want that nor for any other Jaguar Xf 2010 drivers out there.
