Wheel Problems of Jaguar XF

I purchased my vehichle in may 2019, since my purchase, I have two major tire blow outs on major highways which could had caused me and my family my life. This occurred twice on different occasions. Each time, my tires split and my rim completed ruptured cases great damage to my care. The collision company who fixed my vehicle both times asked me what I hit thinking I was in an accident. I was advised that my rims should not have caused the great damage that it did. I am not sure if this issue was ever reported, but I am scared to drive my car. Tire failure. Nationwide recall advised. My vehicle has 13,600 miles has pirelli cinturato p7 all season. The car had an alignment at about 7,000 miles at the dealer, Jaguar orlando, on 10/8/19. On 7/4/19, while driving on hwy 408 in orlando a severe vibration started at about 60 mph. Up until 7/4/19, no previous incidents occurred involving my tires, which were wearing normally prior to 7/4/19. After pulling off the hwy, the rear passenger tire exploded at a stop light. I changed the tire using the spare and noticed the other three tires on the vehicle were splitting on the inside exposing the metal inside the tire. After the dealer, Jaguar orlando, received the vehicle by flatbed they indicated all four tires needed replacement. After calling Jaguar Land Rover's custom service center, I was made aware that they are aware of incidents involving the pirelli cinturato p7, but were still investigating. Reference number 8000 650617. Ask for the recorded calls on 7/12/19 to validate their acknowledgement. In contrast, pirelli's customer service center indicated that they haven't heard of similar incidents with this tire. Case tracking number 54717. It is my recommendation that the NHTSA immediately inquire with all parties, subpoena information pertaining to the pirelli cinturato p7 installed as original equipment on the Jaguar Xf, and analyze my tires to determine the cause to determine if this is a widespread defect that needs an immediate national recall. My reason for inquiring with the nhrsa is to ensure the lives of other Jaguar owners and bystanders driving on these tires are not at risk. Please let me know the outcome. Thank you!.

Tpms failure. This warning suddenly appeared. Contacted Jaguar and they are saying that they are hearing more and more about them, however, there is no fix. They recommended that I go to a tire shop and have them scan the sensors, which I did. They scanned all four sensors and they scanned as fine, however, it seems that the sensor suddenly stopped communicating with the vehicle. I cannot get this fixed and not sure of what is going o. Jaguar refuses to listen to the issue.

The wheels on a range of Jaguar models are prone to the rims cracking where the tire bead seals to the inner lip of the rim. I have had all (4) 20" selena style oem wheels crack multiple times per rim. This issue has been reported in Jaguar forums by many other owners and the same rim has safety recalls associated with it but for some reason don't cover this model even though its the same exact rim. The aluminum alloy reaches its fatigue limit as early as 40k miles of use. Once cracks occur, the rim will continue to crack in new locations without requiring impacting a pothole or other obstruction as is evident that no damage has been observed to any of the tires during a rim crack event such as bubbles or sidewall damage. The owner is left with only one solution, buy new oem wheels and hope to sell the car before the rims again reach their fatigue life limit. This may either be a poor choice of alloy, manufacturing defect or design defect such as structural design or too thin of a wall thickness of the rim. The 20" selena style oem wheels appear to be affected the most by the issue of random rim cracking. This is unrelated to the cracking around the wheel stud due to improper lug nut torque. The rear wheels (9. 5" wide) start cracking first around 50k miles followed later by the front wheels (8. 5" wide). I have experienced flat tires due to the rims cracking about 10 times in total. I have worn out two spare tires because of this problem. The cracks will manifest as a slow leak and will progress to a faster leak as the crack propagates further. Welding the crack is not an appropriate repair option and should not be considered.

Dear sir or MA¿am, I am writing to inform you of what I view as a serious safety issue in hopes that you will consider investigating the matter. On March 13, 2015, I purchased a 2013 Jaguar Xf, (VIN: sajwj0ef2d8s89265), that was certified pre-owned, but had never been owned by anyone except for the dealership. The vehicle had only 21,000 miles and was stated as having and appeared to have fairly new tires. The vehicle was purchased from capitol luxury cars stated as ¿tek automotive group, llc. ¿ on the car care plan, located at 347 new karner rd. ,rte 155, colonie, new york 12205, (518) 452-1100. On August 6, 2015 on the way home from work on interstate 95 south, the vehicle tire pressure light had come on. I decided as soon I was off the major route I would stop to put air in the tire. The tire blew out completely, out of nowhere, nearly causing an accident. The vehicle was taken to the dealership where it had been purchased the next day. I was told that rim (passenger right rear) was cracked and they did not know the cause of the tire blow-out. The tire was under warranty the cost was still $1,168. 36 for one tire rim issue. Then on September 21, 2015, the passenger right front tire became balled due to an improper alignment I had to pay $1,310. 27 for 4 winter tires. Then on October 30, 2015 another tire was not holding air. I was told the driver side left rim was cracked and that again the rim would need to be replaced. I whole hearted refused to pay another $1,200 for one rim/repair. In a meeting with the general manager, administrative assistant, maintenance shop foreman, and the service advisor, the foreman stated that he thought the tire issue was caused by ¿potholes in the area¿ and that in general he has ¿seen a lot of rims cracked. ¿ I asked him if he looked at my tire and rim. He stated,"no. ".

The contact owns a 2015 Jaguar Xf. The contact stated that while driving and coming to a stop, the brake pedal was depressed and the vehicle veered to the left independently. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the technician was unable to determine the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 3,300.

I bought a new used car in la on sept 14 2014. When I drove back to sf on no5 highway on sept 15 2014 about 1 am . The back left wheel started caught fire when I was driving normally.

I was driving on the 495 out of the Lincoln tunnel and my left front tire went flat. I did not hit any potholes. Two days later driving on river road in edgewater NJ I hit a small pothole, it was dark and torrential downpours, my tire immediately went flat. We pulled into a indoor garage, changed the tire, went to back out of the parking spot and the back tire went flat. I do not feel safe with these tires. They are continental - conti pro contact.
