Repeated instances in Dec. 2008 and Jan. 2009 of vehicle going into "limp" mode, virtually inoperable. Car service department analyzed the vehicle diagnostics on two occasions, finally claiming that a defective throttle body assembly was the problem. Cost to me for repair - approx. $1,300. Calls to a number of service departments for the vehicle make indicated that such defect was fairly common. I suspect the vehicle has a faulty throttle body assembly and should be subject to official recall for replacement.
