The contact owns a 2006 Jaguar Xj. The contact stated that while driving at 45 mph, the vehicle abruptly decelerated, after which the contact became aware that the parking brake had been applied. The parking brake warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed a failure with the electronic parking brake control module. The vehicle was not repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure to NHTSA campaign number: 04v488000 (parking), but the VIN was not included. The failure mileage was 113,000.

2005 Jaguar Xj8l you can be driving the vehicle and loose all mobility from the engine to drive axle. You would receive a park brake fault failure, however the engine would still be running all accessories would still be running perfectly however when you would press the accelerator it would just rev the engine but wouldn't move the car. This has happened on many different occasions no solution as been found but the car does it at random times.
