I drive a 2006 Jaguar Xje sedan and have had problems 4 times with sudden acceleration when I come to a stop sign. I step on the brake and as the car comes to a stop it suddently accelerates. I have had to practically stand on the brake pedal to keep the car from going into the intersection with wheels screeching and the odor of rubber burning! the dealer, west herr Jaguar in buffalo, new york has kept the car for the past 3 weeks and could not find anything wrong with it. Now my wife and I are driving it and fear that it may happen again. Since the dealer found nothing wrong with the car, even though this acceleration happened to us, (last time was in January 2010), what can I do ? have you had this incident occur with any other Jaguars?.
I have eye allergies and irritation which are aggravated by voc emissions inside the car. I am trying to find published info on the voc's in my 2005 Jaguar Xj8. Jaguar will not give me this data. Pls advise where I can find it. I know that dot has compliance stds so it must be published somewhere???.
Design of sunken gauges makes it difficult for driver to read them in direct sunlight. Nlm.
