Vehicle cut out on CA freeway 57 at 70 mph due to throttle position sensor fault, (fault code p0121) luckily I managed to get to the hard shoulder without incident. This condition is extremely dangerous especially if this had happened while I was turning in front of oncoming traffic. I was a Toyota/mercedes tech for 30 years.

1998 Jaguar Xj8 stalls at hwy. Speeds on numerious occasions. Local dealer informed me there was no recall but knew of the problem and would fix for a fee. Engine shuts off for no apparent reason resulting in loss of control of vehicle. Although there has been no accident yet, it could be catostraphic.
