My Jaguar Xk 2007's accelerator pedal got stuck in the on position. I was traveling at approximately 10-20 miles on hour when I punched the gas pedal to about 60 miles an hour. When I released the gas pedal the acceleration continued. I then applied the brake and the car continued to accelerate. I then pushed the brake to the floor and shifted into sports mode and downshifted. At some point the accelerator must of disengaged as I was able to stop at the approaching intersection. Thank god, no one was hurt and I did not have to crash the car to stop. I subsequently had the car towed to the dealership where I bought the car only 5 weeks ago. They have had the car now for 3 days and have not given me any information about why this occurred.
